Saying Cruz' father assisted in the JFK assassination action is just normal rough and tumble politics?

no, he has no principles or convictions. He fought against trump, refused to endorse him at first and then got behind him. That is a startling lack of principles and conviction.

He would have been president if not for trump.

I still don't believe he is constitutionally eligible to be president, but he is a fantastic patriot.

Unfortunately, but rest assured when the loony left gets back in power they will go completely bat shite crazy with EO's and legislation to make sure the democratic process is dead in this country.

Cruz thought he could win the primary being the Evangelical candidate. That turned a lot of us off.

I was commenting on the statement that Trump's comments during the primary were normal. They most assuredly were not. And I'm of the opinion that his mean-spirited vileness is still relevant. And is this not a message board to discuss?

It actually may be far worse than that, depending on who the dems run. if they run moderate candidates, especially prolife/progun ones, they may not just gain the seat then but help push the democratic agenda at the city and state level.

oh, and redistricting is in 2020. So if dems gain a strong beachhead in some red states (NC, GA, FL, TX) they can help steer redistricting in their favor. The GOP has really benefited from the 2010 takeover, dems could really benefit from a 2020 takeover and cement themselves in place until 2030.

of course, the dems could run far left wing candidates and BOOM trump republicans at every layer of office. Terrifying for rational people.
