Trump supporter here and financial advisor. I do hope the market takes a 10% dive so we can get some money into the markets.
And if it does, I think you're an absolute fool to try and blame that on Trump. Historically, it's "corrected" ~13% every single year.

But, his minions would absolutely claim a win if it went the other way. Can't have it both ways.
Besides, it will be worse than 10%......unless you're a PhD in economics, your series 7 does not impress me. This goes far beyond the ham n egg advisor world.

I have a series 7, a series 66, an AAMS and working on a CFP so yes I'm very much so educated enough to talk economics and markets.

Insure portfolio with VIX. Do not listen to financial advisers that don't promote this. Ever. Profit. Invariably and often. Balanced portfolio means balanced assets classes. Have a financial adviser that has you 100% in paper? Fire them immediately. If you lost money in 08 and 09, fire adviser immediately. You should have cleaned up. Always do the opposite of 90% of everyone else. Never fear. Never worry.
