I tell them something like: "Like it or not, the majority of voters in this country didn't want Obamacare to begin with, and most of those people really didn't want tax money to pay for abortions, and none of them enjoyed their premiums increasing this year, and a lot of them actually can't afford those increases. If you can't empathize with that, nobody has a reason to empathize with anything you're saying."
Which is why repealing Obamacare should be a top priority for Congress. The Democrats thought they were slick by basically forcing middleclass tax payers to pay for indigent healthcare through higher premiums, higher deductibles along with worse coverage. Voters have rejected their scheme.
The previous healthcare system was far from perfect but minor modifications would have allowed the free market to develop a cost/benefit model that would be vastly superior to Obamacare. The real issue is the Obama economy. There were/are millions of people without healthcare because they either jobless government dependents, are working in very low paying jobs or simply young and healthy enough that they don't see the need for health insurance. In short, improve the economy and most of the need for indigent healthcare will take care of itself.

I don't know many good people that would have an abortion.
Trust me: you do.
I agree with this. With the passing of time I find out more and more friends that have had abortions that I never would have thought would have.

Here's a news flash. Women (most of em)like men. A LOT of women don't want to be liberated.
But srsly, the left fell for their own bullshite. They catered to the vocal minority. The feminists, the weirdos, the young and dumb. Lighting up the White House with a rainbow? Supporting criminals and the killing of policemen? Guys in the women's bathroom? Come on. Who would have that might alienate some voters? Dumbasses

With every single Republican in both chambers voting against it. I honestly can't remember such an important piece of legislation that was decided so utterly along party lines.

quote:Kudos to you for your honesty. And on the other end of the spectrum, Republicans are nearly heartless in the face of misfortune (this author included). We need to find some middle ground. There are certain issues that need to be handled in a centralized manner. The majority need to be handled in a de-centralized manner.
From my experience, this is mostly true.
And we need to reduce defense spending.

I don't associate with leftists and my life is better for it. A lot less complicated and peaceful.

Here's a stat I found highly interesting when it came to Romney vs Trump's results in the general election:
Hispanics: up 2%
Blacks: up 2%
Asians: up 3%
Whites: only up 1%
Maybe racists got the ball rolling with the Mexicans being rapists, but that's irrelevant with these numbers. Racists (white ones at least) I think would have voted against Hillary regardless. On top of that, the 1% of increase in votes that mostly went to Obama in the last election probably aren't racists by default, especially since they probably voted for Obama twice.
Here's the guilty secret that the media doesn't want you to know: it wasn't racists that won Trump the election, it was minorities.

In case anybody wondered what gets talked about during happy hour in America's biggest city and biggest Democrat hub.
Amongst my white nationalist family, golfing and tailgating buddies we never talk about gays (some of my white nationalist friends are gay), blacks (some of my white nationalist friends are black), Latinos (some of my white nationalist friends are Latinos), females (many of my white nationalist friends are females), or any other Trump victim group in terms of issues we are all generally in agreement that the border is out of control, health insurance was much better for me/us prior to Obamacare, the federal government shouldn't be involved in a variety of social issues, Hillary was the most corrupt candidate ever to run for president, the media was all out for Clinton and totally out to get Trump and maybe a few more issues. Oh, and we generally laugh at all the SJW "victims" and take seriously when someone breaks laws.
We are pretty reasonable people.

Dude, Hillary won the women's vote and the popular vote.
Trump is president because he riled up enough republicans/independents in swing states.
America's views on that stuff haven't changed much. You're delusional if you think that's why trump is president.
