Needs to extend beyond the label of “DEI” or they’re just gonna rename it to the “Anti-Puppykicking Society”

Wow! This is how you do it.

Now let’s keep the DOI (Department of Injustice) out of it.

Oklahoma Dec 2023 too:

Governor Stitt Signs Anti-Discrimination Executive Order, Takes Aim at DEI Measures

quote:

Today, Governor Kevin Stitt signed Executive Order 2023-31, implementing greater protections for Oklahomans and their tax dollars against Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). “In Oklahoma, we’re going to encourage equal opportunity, rather than promising equal outcomes,” said Governor Stitt. “Encouraging our workforce, economy, and education systems to flourish means shifting focus away from exclusivity and discrimination, and toward opportunity and merit. We’re taking politics out of education and focusing on preparing students for the workforce.”

quote:

The order requires state agencies and institutes for higher education to initiate a review of DEI positions, departments, activities, procedures, and programs to eliminate and dismiss non-critical personnel. State agencies and institutions for higher education shall not utilize state funds, property, or resources to:

1. Grant or support diversity, equity, and inclusion positions, departments, activities, procedures, or programs to the extent they grant preferential treatment based on one person’s particular race, color, sex, ethnicity, or national origin over another’s;

2. mandate any person to participate in, listen to, or receive any education, training, activities, procedures, or programming to the extent such education, training, activity, or procedure grants preferences based on one person’s particular race, color, sex, ethnicity, or national origin over another’s;

3. mandate any person swear, certify, or agree to any loyalty oath that favors or prefers one particular race, color, sex, ethnicity, or national origin over another;

4. mandate any person to certify or declare agreement with, recognition of, or adherence to, any particular political, philosophical, religious, or other ideological viewpoint;

5. mandate any applicant for employment provide a diversity, equity, and inclusion statement or give any applicant for employment preferential consideration based on the provision of such a diversity, equity, and inclusion statement;

6. or mandate any person to disclose their pronouns.

Doubtful, they are melting under the pressure of forced inclusion while trying to maintain high standards. Right now it is very difficult for the less than outstanding students to gain admission because the far less than outstanding DEI folks are filling so many slots.

The way to stop racial discrimination is to stop discriminating based on race.

This DEI shite is beyond parody at universities. Most faculty positions require you to write a 'diversity statement' along with your research / teaching statements to declare your allegiance to the cult, and to make damn sure no straight white males make it through the selection process.

They should be FIRED. You think they’re going to stop their life’s crusade just because they were reassigned to a new department.

Of course not, but the state and the universities can at least look like they took the high road.

When these employees inevitably quit, suck at their new jobs, or refuse to comply with the law, Texas can say, "We gave you a chance. Not our fault that you didn't take it. Bye."

Jeff Landry needs to take note.

This is the way.

Plus if there’s any way for him to fire Tate, and that moron he installed as the Dean of the law school - well that would be a bonus.

The implementation of DEI ”programs” or the removal of them?

Research shows DEI policies have failed and don’t work. In addition to cultivating climates of divisiveness, they favor certain demographic groups to the detriment of others.

Removing DEI programs disallows policies that favor race over merit. Additionally it saves money by closing the ridiculous DEI office that have appeared over the past several years.

Texas says goodbye to DEI

Good start but not far enough. Put in a merit based czar that makes sure students advance on merit only.

This czar and his/her committee will go through all emails and written work by all profs and employees and make them accountable for all non-merit based opinions. These individuals will be publicly humiliated and fired.

Sound extreme? This is what the left has been doing for years.
