Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas issued a warning to sanctuary cities around the country on Monday, letting them know that he has no intention of stopping the transportation of migrants out of the Lone Star State.

“Texas has transported over 102,000 migrants to sanctuary cities,” Abbott wrote on the social media platform X.

“Overwhelmed Texas border towns should not bear the brunt of Biden’s open border policies. Our transportation mission will continue until Biden secures the border.”

Good. Sanctuary cities should shoulder this problem.

Chicago and nyc are consistently bitching about not being able to handle the influx. But, cities that already have millions of people are more equipped to handle that sort of influx....rather than small towns that have next to no resources.

NYC pre-immigrant flooding: Gimme your tired and poor!

NYC post-immigrant flooding: Que?

And 102K is low in the grand scheme of things but when you look at it per bus, that’s roughly 2,000 buses!

I am disappointed that he uses the open borders crowd terminology. They are not migrants. They are illegal immigrants.

Too bad he has to use busses. Freight trains would carry a lot more at one time.

Denver mayor now acknowledging Abbott is right for spreading the issue and bringing attention... He's trying to olive branch and get him to stop picking Denver.

Another few weeks of Abbott sending to Denver and they will be in big trouble. Can't abosrb it like Chicago and NY.

I'm not against transporting them out of Texas, but what he's doing is the will of the Biden Administration.

He should be transporting them out of the country.

You mean the federal government should be. He’s showing the people that vote for these moronic policies the real life consequences.

While I agree on the premise. This is something that is directly in the Federal Government's purview and they could stop him from deporting the illegals.

Making the sanctuary cities feel the pain is all that will get them off of their stupid stance.....

So, California

He really should dump them 50ft from the Canadian border near one of the many many virtually unguarded border stations

Posted from another thread:

"Denver has bought nearly 3,000 tickets to Chicago and 2,300 to New York, almost half of the more than 12,000 tickets the city has purchased for migrants since November 2022. The vast majority were bus tickets, but Denver also purchased about 340 tickets for flights and 200 for train rides."

Doesn't matter where he sends them, the whole country will
get their "fair share", we are so fricked.

That should be a weekly quota…at a minimum.

Good to see Abbott finally standing up for Texas. Love what he is doing, but it is years too late.

They are too busy talking about activating US troops to kill their fellow citizens.

I agree with this but the point still stands that he would be slapped down hard for attempting to deport them and would lose on the issue....

His first job is to look after Texas... So shipping illegals out anyway that he can makes sense for him....

I am actually surprised that Biden has not Federalized the TX NG... not sure why they have not played that hand because it is well within their ability...

Not saying I agree with it...
