Cancelled the planned rally because of "safety"

This is illegal and I hope the state gets sued for this

Is it? In Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District, the SCOTUS decision argued:
quote:

must be able to show that [their] action was caused by something more than a mere desire to avoid the discomfort and unpleasantness that always accompany an unpopular viewpoint," that the conduct that would "materially and substantially interfere with the requirements of appropriate discipline in the operation of the school.
I think A&M could make the argument for the justification, from a legal standpoint. I think this is far more justifiable than canceling a Ben Shapiro event.

First of many wins for those who hate free speech.

This is what the violent, progressive left has been hoping for. Using the guise of "safety" to shut down the opposition.

Pretty soon everyone who disagrees with the left will be a Nazi or a "Nationalist".

Here we go!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEE

Official press release
quote:

Texas A&M changed its policy after December’s protests so that no outside individual or group could reserve campus facilities without the sponsorship of a university-sanctioned group. None of the 1200-plus campus organizations invited Preston Wiginton nor did they agree to sponsor his events in December 2016 or on September 11 of this year. With no university facilities afforded him, he chose instead to plan his event outdoors for September 11 at Rudder Plaza, in the middle of campus, during a school day, with a notification to the media under the headline “Today Charlottesville, Tomorrow Texas A&M.”

sure they are. The non peaceful part comes from the violent left wing protests. Those are the people that need to be targeted for causing violence

We could probably do without another rally for a few days.

You think his slogan, “Today Charlottesville, Tomorrow Texas A&M," suggests peace?

Do you really think the organizers want a peaceful rally!? Why are they choosing liberal areas to spew their propaganda? They want the left there and u are crazy for thinking other wise

Unless activities were to be off campus, this was a good decision.

They absolutely want violence, and they relish when these things are cancelled. The only thing they love more than their whiteness is playing the victim. Bunch of pussies.
