Is he also tired of Broome's shite like everyone else? It's rare to see dissention among democrats on this level. Anyone know anything about him?

He was a democrat but he at least loved BR and wasn’t a loon

Kip Holden is one of the best things that ever happened to Baton Rouge. I say this as a life long resident and a republican. He is one of only a few democrats I ever voted for.

I’ve actually met him. He does come across as a lovely person, and not an utter moron like SWB.

His involvement in the Biden Administration, even at that level, bothers me terribly

Maybe the republicans will run someone who isn’t a blithering imbecile this time

He is to the left of Broome politically. Bad choice

True, but he is more competent.

So…pick your poison.

Yep. He is a nice guy, smart, and competent. Most would enjoy having drinks with him. That said, his politics are definitely not aligned with the majority of this board. However, my impression is that he is far more pragmatic than dogmatic, so I think his governance would be an improvement.

I have met TJ as well. Very nice and approachable. Also very liberal and will be a big pusher of social justice. Will not be a game changer for EBR.

Ted James is radical. I would vote for SWB all day before him. He is of the Chauna Banks, Denise marcelle, Gary chambers ilk. Makes SWB look like woody jenkins.

Kip actually loved BR and wanted to bring everyone together. He was a moderate in every sense of the word. A very kind and genuine person as well. Quite a unicorn in modern politics

Can Kip come back since he took terms off? Or is it a lifetime max of 3 terms?

Hes on 107.3 right now and at least he is already speaking more intelligently and at length in one talk radio segment than SWB has given in speeches in 8 years

Ted is from the give the people an opportunity wing.
Sharon is from the give the people an entitlement wing.

One viewpoint benefits society as a whole.
The other viewpoint benefits only those claiming victimhood status.

That won't happen.

If they run anyone, it'll be a Delgado-like massive douche
