Why? I hope the business shutdown and move out of Ferguson and the idiots in Ferguson are left with nowhere to shop.

It's a really bad idea...they're just pouring gas on the fire to bring attention to themselves.

Violent criminal gets killed by cop, as violent criminals are apt to do

Some hooligans who may or may not have been his friend use this as an opportunity to destroy and steal from totally unrelated, legitimate businesses

And by helping rebuild those business, who were merely a victim of circumstance, it's "pouring gas on the fire?"

Can you please explain? Are poor black people incapable of understanding?

I believe the percentage of people who were arrested during the protests who actually lived in Ferguson was around 10%

I think any attempts to draw more attention to the area at this time is a bad idea Protests v. Buycotts - whaterver. I think it's time for people outside of that community to get out and let things settle down. After the calm if some people want to go there to buy a Big Red and some Takis at the Stop n' Shop, more power to them.

2. your second link is the media, so not sure where "virtually no media coverage" comes from.

Jesus Christ. Yeah, those hard working business owners who actually made something of their lives are not "people", right?

The doctor who owned his practice for 30 years. The real estate investor who fixed up old homes and sold them for a profit. The restaurant owner you eat dinner on Friday nights.

frick those people. AMIRIGHT?

I googled this after hearing it on Rush. Virtually NO media coverage.
You can't just come up with some random idea and get CNN to cover it. That is the "organizing" part that is lacking.

Not even sure what businesses are suffering besides the burnt down ones that can't be helped by a "buycott". The rest of the businesses are probably showing a decent profit with the extra traffic in town.

Actually I am pretty sure you can as long as that idea is the one CNN wants to show. Right now there are 5 stories about Ferguson on the CNN homepage. 2 of them are editorials that a "particular" viewpoint.

Maybe it's too small to notice, but maybe national media just don't care to reflect on positive stories, particularly those that include the Tea Party.
