So is this a humanitarian movement or a political movement?

True.
Humanitarian had nothing to do with it. It was planting the seeds of future left wing voters.

100% True. If immigration and Syrian refugees are helping your party stay in power, then why would you not accept them?

Where did you come up with this?
Mississippi is a Red State. Not a single Muslim refugee admitted here.

They were put where the balance of power might plausibly shift in the next 10-20 years with a little push. That ain't happening here.

Well they were moving them everywhere. There was a protest by one Idaho town that was going to get a nice chunk dropped on them. They were also using HUD to move minorities into white republican areas. Iowa was getting hit pretty hard with that last year.
Obviously they aren't going to do that to Mississippi. It is the heaviest minority state anyway. It is less red states and moreso white areas in particular.

I believe "Turn Texas Red" was the slogan.
And most of the other states on that list are swing states.

According to that graphic, and considering it's only Oct 2015-Sept 2016, more refugees were placed in solid blue states. And if we assume that refugees will vote for dems, then that will help solidify dem strongholds as never becoming red states and hence allowing the dems to target red states and make them swing states.

Anybody got a link for his National Section 8 program to spread out minorites into the whitest areas?
I presume DT will kill this

You'd be fine with having Syrian refugees as roommates right cruiserhog?

How so? Seems like blue states have the most amnesty cities.

True
I believe it is both Humanitarian and politically motivated.

That could be pretty compelling -- if you have a reputable source that can show that the quote originated with Obama.
But before you spend a lot of time looking for it, why would the expression be "Turn Texas Red", if Texas is already a solid red state???

Not really. And most that are swing states only became swing states because it was Trump.
And how come not many in Florida, the ultimate swing state???

Generally refugees are resettled by a charitable organization making a request through the UN Council on Refugees then the US State Department, not the President. Usually Christian churches.
