The team was valued at 700 million. No way he ever gets 2 billion. The fricking Yankees aren't valued at 2 billion.
Hey, clowny boy, it's not about investment value for balmer or sterling. That's the point.

That was the cost to make him go away because he was gonna burn the NBA to the ground in litigation.
How was he going to "burn the NBA down" with litigation?

The Dodgers were valued by Forbes at $800 million in 2011. One year later they were bought for $2 billion. This shows me that Forbes isn't always accurate when it comes to valuations.

Actually if you understood anything about private valuation, the math trumps all....Nobody pays, they finance. Nobody believes the second team in the second market in the third sport in the US is the most valuable franchise.
Nobody.
Nobody.

You're right champ...Sterling doubled his net worth, because he said something racially insensitive.
Doubled.
Y'all got that evil white racist!

And that's the point - he's not selling for the $$$ and balmer isn't paying on buy side economics. It's about the want... Did you buy your painting for investment value or because you just liked it? For sterling and balmer the economics you perceive don't come into play. Sterling would prefer to continue to own rather than sell.

You're really missing some piece of this puzzle, Bengal. Hint: It's all over the thread.

I don't know why you keep throwing in the unrelated racism comments.

That is why they are all so pissed. They thought Sterling would take it hard, deep, and wide.
He is laughing all the way to the bank, and they are standing there in their flat-bills holding their dicks.

Unrelated?
That was the whole impetus, fool.
But y'all got him. Y'all got him so good the trust tripled the asset. I'm sure the family is just in pieces about how bad they lost....

Only a gov employee looking for some benefits would see the deal through that prism.

I didn't even have to eviscerate you. Forbes did it for me.

I don't see how this relates to the economics or incents of sterling. He didn't want to sell that's the bottom line. I think he got shafted by a count, but that doesn't change the view of the outcome - negative for sterling.

You idiot, you eviscerated no one. You're not smart enough.
Sterling got $2 billion for a team not worth nearly that much.
You flat-billed losers holding your dicks hollering racist got eviscerated.
You thought Sterling was going to get the shaft. No, losers like your hero get the shaft. They do hard time. Men like Sterling collect hard cash.
$2 billion...RECORD PRICE FOR A NBA TEAM...you have no case, dumbass.

I don't think he's southern. He just doesn't have the ability to objectively evaluate a situation.

I'm not from the south, clown.
But your pathetically simple analysis here is entertaining...

Donald Sterling comes out the big winner if this actually happens.
Yes because he'd rather spend the final 2-3 years of his life counting his $600 million (50% goes to his wife, 40% to taxes) than in enjoying his basketball team.
He won't be allowed to buy any other team in any other league.

You ignored any and every discussion of the merits and kept deferring to Forbes. Lo and behold, Forbes also ran an article that completely validated what me and others were saying.
When that happened, you conveniently shut the frick up about Forbes and then started in on this bizarre flat bill tirade.
You had a chance to admit you were wrong and save face. Instead you were exposed for the clown that you are.
This will be the last time I engage you.
