Look, I do not know who I am going to vote for yet. My wife voted Montgomery, but I know more people that know Trainor so if I vote for him guess it won't matter since my household cancels out. Connections has me leaning more for Trainor, but I could really give a rat's arse who wins...St Tammany ain't going to shite if either gets voted.

A District Attorney who's never handled a felony jury trial - what a fricking shite show this parish has become.

From what I have heard is Montgomery hasn't prosecuted at the Federal level since the 70's

Louisiana DA's don't prosecute federal cases, and don't practice in federal court at all except for rare instances of defending an appeal.

and now he is a public defender for criminals.

A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and is entitled to legal representation. He's providing a service guaranteed by the Constitution. If you don't like it, you're welcome to try to get the 5th Amendment repealed.

I'm not from St Tammany, and have no dog in this fight, but any time someone is running for judge or DA in this state, they usually play the "tough on crime" card. It works reliably on low information voters scared of their own shadow, but it's bullshite. An honest, ethical campaign pledge would be to apply the law fairly and without favoritism, and leave it at that.

Since when does the DA actually try the case in court? They are administrators and politicians.

Trainor - law enforcement background wants to operationalize the DA office. There's a complete lack of technology. He is connected to the ole boy network

Montgomery. 1 year federal prosecutor. Most experience spent defending the crap of the parish. Zero law enforcement back ground

I always lean towards the law enforcement experience. These offices have to work hand in hand. The back ground to modernize the da's office is needed. It's run like we're back in the 80s

This is an administrative job and Trainor is an administrator. Also I know him and he is a good guy. One thing I hate about politics is that you have to demonize the other person. I don't know Montgomery but I bet he is probably a good guy as well.

Really? What did he do there?
Show me.

He has more state and federal criminal justice experience than "worthless check" Trainor and isn't the crony candidate.

I used to think that, but he's a fricking liar based on his campaign. And he's a puppet with zero experience.

I voted for trainor, and am not a strain fan.. Brian is a nice guy, say what u want about his connections but the guy has put his time in (military/police)
Mr. Montgomery is NO saint either...

And yes, I have outside ties to Brian before he was running for DA..
