Who's who here? I was thinking Trainor at first, but the negative ad from Montgomery today has me scratching my head.

What say the PT board?

Trainor is a part of the Strain crew and Montgomery is not. That's about it.

Would you have voted for Walter Reed again?

If yes, Trainor. If no, Montgomery.

Strictly from the outside looking in, that shitfest doesn't inspire much confidence in either one.

Trainor handled traffic, misdemeanors and worthless checks in the DA's office for 8 years AND he's the crony candidate.

Montgomery's handled all kinds of shite at the federal and state level, both sides of the practice as well.

Pretty clear choice.

Plus Trainor has run an extremely deceitful campaign.

frick Trainor.... Jack Strain puppet, one of the most corrupt fricks in this state and that is saying a lot. Makes Gusman look like a saint.

Which one is going to be the most vigilant in their pursuit of conviction and which is more likely to push soft plea deals just to rack up numbers. I like that St. Tammany seems to be strict with criminals.

This is my biggest concern. I can stomach a less than ideal candidate if it means they continue to throw the book at criminals

St. Tammany's reputation as being hard on criminals, the school system, and the lack of public transportation are a few of the main facets that keep the area attractive to most people. This will really not be impacted by the selection of either candidate as they both well know where their bread is buttered and what is expected of them. Trainor is dependent, part of the network, and tied to the Sheriff very closely. Montgomery actually has prosecuting experience and is independently wealthy by his own means. I'm voting Montgomery.

From what I have heard is Montgomery hasn't prosecuted at the Federal level since the 70's and now he is a public defender for criminals.

Don't know anything about either one because I live in Tangi. But based on the fact that he has been endorsed by Tangipohoa sheriff Daniel Edwards is all I would need to not vote for Trainor.

That is a good reason to vote for Montgomery. He knows both sides of the fence and all tricks of the trade.

If you're talking solely about experience and don't mention Trainor's glaring lack of it in prosecuting cases in comparison to Montgomery's... then yes.
