Reading some of this garbage.....do you not plainly see that we are being taken more seriously now that we have a president who is not afraid to do what is needed? Do you seriously want to debate the last 8 years versus now with regard to foreign policy??? We were a fricking international joke....not so much the last 3 months. If you can't recognize the newfound respect/reverence the U.S. has been given internationally, then you are either incredibly stupid or politically motivated. It isn't really a valid topic of debate...because it is fricking obvious. It's like debating whether the sky is blue....

Well, the sky isn't actually blue. Other than that I agree. The U.S was viewed as weak under BHO.

This is what Trumpkins think about when they get a couple of pints into the MD2020. I hope I wasn't this lame during my drunk-posting days.

Yeah, wanna know what a joke is? A potus whom our closest ally, England, won't allow to address parliament. But sure, he's taken seriously.

Obviously North Korea is taking him seriously (they're not).

Putin and xi are laughing their asses off

We were safer under Obama, IMHO. He took out bin Laden, and America went 8 straight years with no terrorist incident on its soil.

The current president practices diplomatic brinksmanship, and it's reckless and threatens a military conflagration.

Reverence? I would argue this. The United States will not be publicly revered. Most of the world resents the power and affluence we enjoy. they look at us as if we are arrogant. I do feel they respect us more, and possible fear us more, though, and that is not necessarily a bad thing. We are being taken a bit more seriously, as if we might actually mean what we say now, if/when we draw a red line in the sand.

My bad, I forgot about the Boston Marathon. That was terrorism, but rather of the "lone wolf" variety, as was the workplace violence of Nadal Hassan and the San Bernardino shooter.

Not seeing much laughing by the world, though I am seeing a lot of crying by the those on the left both here and abroad.
