Sooooo ... there's something going on -

So at my age and stage and given my profession most of my life I am fairly connected in all the right circles. Military, the University, state government and even certain places around D.C.
Now, I've got a friend who is not only very connected in D.C., but so is his wife. I usually keep my mouth shut about what I hear coming out of up there ... he's a libtard. No, actually, he's a fricktard when it comes to politics but he's one of what we used to be called "The Fab Five." There are five of us, best friend's for over forty years, Godparents to each other's children, all of us very successful. We call one another "The Peezos" a play on Piasani from our years in Italy.
He and is wife are the token liberals of the group but God Bless'em, we love'em.
They hate Trump, we've been busting their balls since the election but they busted ours for the previous eight years.
Now, something is up because he's been telling me there is a movement against Trump, not only by libtards but by a half dozen Republicans ... and he's been telling me this since early last Monday after an event they attended on Sunday night with some of the well known who's who of D.C ... the 8th I think it was. Then on Wednesday he hit me up with this bet outta the clear blue sky.
Now, in forty years he's never hit any of us up with a bet .... but Wednesday he hit us all with this bet and you gotta know him but this is very very strange because I seriously doubt if he's ever made a bet in his life.
Something is up. Washington insiders know something. Something is going on and I went back and noted the trend in the media ... he was obviously hearing the rumors up there before it hit the media and I can absolutely guarantee that he doubled checked with his wife, who is a well know major heavy hitter up there, before he threw the bet out there ... something is going on. Something is up. The fricktards in D.C. think they've got something planned they think they can make hay with. No clue what it is yet - you can bet we haven't begun to hear what they think they've got though. It's gonna come outta right field.
He's in the red boxes, I'm in the blue. The text/bet came on Wednesday, two days after he first almost giddily told me that Trump is some real hot water about something. Days before these rumblings hit the media.
Something is up or he would have never made this bet.
We all rotate around to each other's vacation homes each year, usually with our wives ... so the Peezo get-together is a big deal four or five times a year amongst us old guys. There is no way in hell he would be making this bet 3 1/2 years in advance. He obviously thinks sething is about to happen.
I dunno what it is going to be - but it's something.
Anyway, we all took the bet.

You could have skipped typing all those words and adding those screenshots and just posted "my friend takes it in the arse".

Oh, I'm sure there are folks who spend all of their waking hours trying to make something happen where Trump is concerned.
Wouldn't surprise me if anyone even casually connected in DC heard about various possibilities daily.
Doesn't mean anything will happen.
These are unprecedented times.

I wouldn't make too much of it. It's just that these Dems have started to believe their own bullshite.

Where the hell have you been the last year? This isn't some new development. And if they had anything on Trump, anything at all, he would have never made it to the general election, much less this far into his presidency. I think that your friend is just drinking the koolaid. And by drinking the koolaid I mean he takes it up the poop shoot.

Normally I'd agree ... the D.C. rumor mill is legendary for putting out bullshite. And for the record, I figure whatever it is that they are all banking-on is going to be bullshite in the end. But, knowing them like I do, especially his wife ... something is up.
The fricktards are getting ready to make a major play against Trump - whatever it is they think they've got something.
I hope he's out ahead of them on this. Someone in the WH is leaking something and I have no doubt that their are a few establishment elitists RINOs lining up against him as well.
I just hope he is ready for whatever it is because D.C. is different than most can comprehend. It's an evil fricking place. People that play in that playground up there are ruthless - especially the libtards.

Let me explain to you why this is all bullshite. Remember back to the republican convention, and all the rumors that swirled around about deny Trump the nomination. Was is possible that a few repubs were willing to deny him the nomination? Sure, but it didn't happen for one simple reason. They are politicians. If you think the leaders of the Republican Party are gonna let a handful of repubs go rouge or better yet lead the charge in such a scheme, you are out of your mind. That kind of stunt would cause a civil war within the party and ultimately destroy it. That's not even taking into account Republican voters that would be looking for blood if such action took place. Bottom line, the power brokers and those with major influence within the party as well as the big money donors would never sign off on something that idiotic.

He's likely spent his entire life getting out in front of folks hell-bent on bringing him down.
This is an area where his business acumen serves him well.
I've zero doubt he's surrounded by brain power that does nothing but "war game" this stuff.
Tell your friend you'll take your winnings in scotch.

Already tried that ... he's not saying. He's being very coy about it which means the info probably came from his wife. But again, she's a big hitter up there, a K Street power player knocking down seven figures a year. She does occasionally let things slip during our get-togethers and she's a serious woman. But it could have come from anyone, the circle they run in is impressive. I've met many people at their home over the years ... something is up. This is just too out if character for him.

If the establishment tries to depose Trump, there will probably be violence.

Look, I'm as connected to DC as anyone on this sight. This is what I'm hearing, they are moving on to "Dems take the House in '18" and only the nutty fringe is still giving lip service to #Russians.
