If the Obama administration intercepted inoccuous communications and retained them despite no intelligence value, does it become direct surveillance? Or as I've stated, they used indirect legal methods to perform the surveillance? And then once they unmasked the citizens and dissimenate the information does it become illegal direct surveillance?

It seems like the answer to all of these questions is yes.

Only thing I took from Trump's tweet is that he thought Obama ordered it. That has yet to be proven.

It seems pretty clear that Obama released an order to allow the surveillance to be widely disseminated. I guess that isn't technically a "direct" order. I guess we should all just assume that the people who knew about the information are morons and didn't know what his order was about?

Oh it matters on the one hand, but on the the other the bottom line is that it doesn't. Trump was right either way.

Well you should have taken that the surveillance actually happened.

Well that's obvious if we take it at face value. But I can't divorce the fact that it happened from Trump's accusation that Obama ordered it.

That's what we want to know. What did Obama know and when did he know it.

Yup. Looks like Trump got caught because his team was chatting it up with people already being monitored.

Guess he should have been working with more honorable individuals.

He's only right if you

1. Move the goal posts tremendously
2. Believe anonymous/unnamed sources
he's only wrong if you interpret the word 'wiretap' as literally as possible instead of as a general term for surveillance, which is exactly what a 70 year old man would mean when he says it. No they probably did not physically go and attach a wire to his phone and sit in a van outside with a reel to reel smoking cigarettes and eating street meat. They did however conduct surveillance and illegally leak surveillance in violation of the constitutional rights of us citizens

was he wiretapped by Obama? in the literal sense, no.

was Trump right all along about being under surveillance? yes.

Except he said he was wiretapped by Obama.

Ya'll move the goalpost so much, you forget you moved it in the first place.

Trump won because he talks like a normal person. Normal people know that he meant the Obama administration surveiled TT and the intel ended up at the WH. Therefore this implicates Obama.

He very well could have been. Along with thousands of other people. Bush and Obama both had phones and computers monitored by intelligence agencies during their presidential terms. Why the hell should Trump be any different than any other U.S. citizen?

But Trump being the egotistical whiner that he is, I'm sure he feels he's above the law. Just like the past few years when he thought it was cool to bad mouth any and all of his political opponents, like "lying Ted" or "low energy Jed" or "crooked Hillary" and the list goes on. But when the insults were thrown his way, his go to response was "take it back and apologise or I'll sue you", oh boo hoo, boo hoo. And let's not forget shitting all over John McCain for being captured during the Vietnam war. Probably his best insult yet, "I like people who weren't captured", yet he was too yellow to serve in the same war. What a pathetic thing to say about someone that served OUR country.

The guy is a fricking spoiled whining crybaby. He needs to shut his mouth and do the job he was elected to do. Seventy year old man spending his time on twitter, what a joke.

If Trump is wrong, spin his stupidity to mean something else.

We are all being surveilled at this point is my belief.

Maybe Rockwell was correct all this time? What visionaries.
