This is what every health care professional has said. If it were that easy we'd have 100 times the cases we've had. And now we have zero

The only exception is Texas Health Presbyterian, which was woefully unprepared.
Where they cared for patients without airborne precautions. Right?

At Emory, as I have asked you several times, is care rendered to Ebola patients without respiratory precautions? Ever? Once in the history of the institution?

Again . . . . take your time.

That is an ignorant statement.

The irony here is that you flaunt your own ignorance by claiming his post is ignorant.

Surgeries are not conducted in an isolation environment. They are conducted in a STERILE environment from the perspective of the patient being operated on.

As a healthcare worker I'm going to tell you to take your "outside of a healthcare setting" and STICK IT!

That is the BS directly responsible for the THP infections.

What is THP? I googled and it brought up articles about tuberculosis is that what you are referring to?

quote:

To personalize it, in the 1990's the CDC, at similar political suggestion, made idiotic assertions as to lack of HIV healthcare worker risk. I saw two dedicated healthcare colleagues contract HIV and die as a result of patient care in that timeframe. If ANYONE is at RISK, acknowledge it. That is all.

WTF does that have to do with making an aid worker coming home from africa stay in their house for 3 weeks or face 6 months in jail?

You really believe you understand this better than the professionals who deal with it and have studied it, dont you?

Surgeries? As in all? Or just those without MRSA?

I'll wait.

Now then. Having put that idiocy to rest, ""isolation"" is relative to host vs potential recipient. Have you ever witnessed a total knee arthroplasty?

As in the post where you ignorantly implied surgeries are conducted in an isolation environment not realizing the difference. We both even said "most" operations.
