They (NFL Crybabies) are acting just like their father, the communist leftist. I'll not watch anymore NFL games. I'm sure I'm not alone, It's all UGA for me. And they better not protest or I'll be done with them as well.

I wonder when the TV ratings for last nights games will be available?

I won't be watching any NFL games in the near future. But I honestly didn't watch much to begin with.

Lower ratings = lower revenue for owners = lower pay for players. Players could mouth off almost anywhere else without much economic consequence. They are just stupid.

You guys know I'm MAGA as can be but are we really sure that our side "won" yesterday? That we will "win" this battle longer term?

I'm not saying that we won't - I'm just saying that Im not sure about this one.

The other thing that is going to muddy the waters is that the black lives matter people have been protesting the NFL since week one.

I don't know that they rescinded their boycott yesterday so it's ironic that we are on the same side as them and are both not watching muh NFL.

Trump's brilliance is that he doesn't have to stand for R or D because both sides disown him. He can take something like the kneeling shite, see that a majority of Americans are against it, and come out against it. It allows him to reaffirm his "he is one of us" image to his voters.

We need to go after the sponsors. That's what the left would do. After all, the league makes it's money off TV revenue which is largely funded by sponsors.

You can't go after all the sponsors. Even if it catches on they can just blame that on other factors. To make it work people have to get together and go after one sponsor at a time. Make one bleed and the others will take notice.

I don't think either side is going to be a winner in this situation.

I'm very interested in learning the ratings though.

If there is a dip, it won't be for long. Soon Trump will take aim at some other "hot topic" and everyone will forget about his shots at the NFL and will just go back to doing what they usually do on Sunday afternoons: watching football and grilling out.

The delusion here that Trump is going to take down the NFL is funny and sad to watch.

Wait a sec. You actually think crowd size at the game and viewership tv numbers will go up?

I'll ban bet you there is a game this week that shows a 30% increase in viewership.

Well you have to define what is a victory and mine may differ from yours.

If you were looking for an end to all protests or total protest that did not happen.

What he did is have every major media make this story the top headline. What he did was start making people pick a side and quit skirting the issue and try to ignore it.

He won because some teams refused to even come out. He made teams acknowledge this was an actual issue and they decided to remove themselves from the equation.

He won because fans began to boo their own teams before the game started. The players are out there for the benefit of the fans, not themselves. You lose your fanbase, you lose your paycheck.

He won because I watched Drew Pearson (Former Cowboy and African American) on NBC 5 in Dallas last night talk about how he disagreed with what the President said and did, however went on and said kneeling for the Anthem is not helping any cause and we should respect the flag.

I do not even agree with how Trump stated it, but I cannot disagree with his ability to control the discussion and move the agenda along.

It is the same as the delusion the NFL Anthem protests are about police brutality.

Actually I would think this would be good for bars because a bar will have the game on anyways, so if you watch a game there you don't really add to the ratings if you're protesting by cancelling your NFL Sunday ticket or not watching on your tv

there is literally no issue that this boob can ham-handedly stumble through that his supporters wont call a "win."

Only a poster from this board, would think that Trump came out a winner yesterday. Hell, even Trump's good friend Tom Brady called his comments divisive.

I know this is a conservative safe space for most of you, but the majority thinks Trump is looking like an a-hole on this one.

Look at the reactions outside the conservative board. Thank God all you sheep can congregate here to get your talking points correct. I get it- it's a full on damage control Monday. You're probably used to it by now.

You left out that Trump won because the most popular athlete in the NBA made him look like a douchebag.

This was a win, right?

Just saw 9th Life's post about there being literally no issue that that his supporters wont call a "win.". He's definitely on point.

This thread is predictable and boring.

It's sad that you think Lebron James matters.
