Their economy would collapse under the weight of all the freeloaders and immigrants, it would be a massive welfare state. They would have to also form their own security force and take over all the functions of the Federal Government.

Not to mention if they Big One finally hits, they are on their own.

No. The talent pool is watered down enough as it is.

The Baja Peninsula. Lots of great ocean front property. Take it from Mexico as repayment for all the bailouts.

This board when Obama is President - "THERE'S NOTHING SAYING WE HAVE TO STAY THE USA. NOTHING WRONG WITH SUCCESSION!!!!" This board when Trump is President elect - "WE NEED TO EXPAND TO NEW LANDS!!!!"

lol this post has nothing to do with who's president. I just wanted to hear what others thought about expansion. I don't believe we should expand at this point in time but in the future Canada may be a good candidate for annexation. Pretty laid back people, similar to the US but our military is very superior. Would be pretty easy

third world land sounds great, third world people not so much.

Gotta give them the injun treatment. Kill 80% of them then give them a few designated land areas to live at as reparations. Manifest destiny and all that

I'm all in with conquering territory and slaughtering the inhabitants to make way for our own people. Start with the middle East.

No, we should cut already existing territories. Start with California, and move up the coast all of the way to the Canadian border.

California should be allowed to go, but only from San Francisco down the coastal range to the Mexico border. Most of the rest is actually very conservative, full of good people, and not so whacked between the ears. Also keep all of Oregon except from Salem north and let them have Washington. The liberals can have two havens out west, North and South Progressistan.
