I didn't hear about this. What did Obama do to go after legal states?

I think he started making it difficult for dispensaries in the banking sector, IIRC. But I believe he also had DEA just straight up close down dispensaries mainly in CA.

The banking laws were already in place. Obama didn't do anything to help change them. And he definitely closed down dispensaries in medical states but my question was about what he's done in opposition to legal states. CA just went legal.

Expect to hear lots about the opioids epidemic trying to keep this from passing.

Which is sadly ironic bc in states with legal pot, opioid use is way down compared to states with strict drug laws.

Causation?
Correlation?
Not sure. But, it is relevant.

Sorry, dopers, you're not getting past Beauregard. Better to kick the habit than get your stuff seized.

My entire life would be so much better if I could just smoke a little pot.

I don't care how hippie that sounds.

I work 60 hrs a week and have an infant at my house. If on a Saturday night I could smoke a little weed to relax without having to interact with a drug dealer and risk losing my job and family I'd be happier every day.

Pot heads like you don't seem to understand that even if legalized that doesn't mean your job can't terminate you for using it.

Also, there are significant studies that show that legalizing marijuana causes other problems. I'm not saying I'm against legalizing MJ, but I'm also for legalizing cocaine because the fricking government shouldn't be able to tell anyone what they may or may not put in their own body, but I AM saying that the argument of "marijuana isn't dangerous, it should be legalized" is false, stupid, and child like

Marijuana DOES bring dangers, but so do alcohol, tobaccos, guns, and a host of other products that are legal. But yall never make the correct argument, that is why it is still illegal.

Also, of ALL the things that Corey Booker should be focusing on as a US Senator, I don't think weed should be at the top of his list.

Yes, they could. I'm fully aware of that. More importantly to my point the police can't arrest me and take me to jail and take my kid from me for using it. And if it was legal, I assume my company would treat thc like it treats alcohol. Almost no one gets fired for drinking alone in their house on the weekends.

Arrogant pricks like you seem to always generalize every user of marijuana and them project your own arguments onto us.

What is the correct argument?

I'll never understand why people argue for legalization of something based on the ability for the Feds to tax it. It should either be legal or illegal regardless of their ability to squeeze money from it.
Agreed. As if we don't have enough taxes right now.

Bro, if you can't even begin from a serious point , there is no use in discussing. Obviously marijuana use, whether legal or illegal leads to other societal issues.

An idiotic response like "name those problems" would be like someone saying "name something Americans have to tolerate because guns are legal" when the answers are numerous and obvious.

Put the bong down for a second and realize what I was talking about.

To do away with income tax from Pot sales you would need to sale 100k times as much pot as is being sold now.

Furthermore if that much pot was being consumed then there would be zero work being done.

Are you too ignorant to name a few examples?

There's no use in having a discussion if you like to make opinionated statements with no backup and get angry when I ask about them.

Do you care to state what you believe is the " correct argument for legalization"?

quote:

name something Americans have to tolerate because guns are legal" when the answers are numerous and obvious.

What do legal, law abiding, gun owners force this country to deal with?

No shite Sherlock.

And if you read some of my post, you'd realize I know taxes on pot would not be enough to get rid of income taxes...

I'm far from being a pot head, haven't smoked weed in a long time, but some of you Refer Madness believers need to stop being paranoid about weed... lol.
