The left never tells us what they need the $ for...

They just want to raise taxes for the sake of it...

I say they put all the top tier federal reserve banks in a lottery every year...whichever gets picked gets its capital taken...

Then, they can use that money for whatever they think...

Leave us upper middle class alone.

Rich people should have the right to choose what they want to do with their money just like everyone else. Punishing them because they're rich is typical asinine prog thinking.

Bleeding heart libs such as yourself, along with ultra left progs are what is killing this country.

On that note go eat a bag of dicks....

all republican elected officials should have 1 response to her every time she Tweets at them:

“AOC that’s a great argument. I’d love to challenge this and other platforms you hold over a nationally televised debate. Please pick a time and place”

If every single one of them do it she’d eventually have to step up and do it or stop tweeting at them. Win win for Republicans.

Do we live in the kind of world where there's always an evil poor young black male lurking in the shadows?

It's ludicrous to assume that ultra rich people have "earned" it as honestly as the rest of us.

It's more ludicrous that people like you think it's ok to take from others simply because they have more. You won't feel the same when you're in the on deck circle.

You can reduce anything to luck, if you choose. That is just extreme lazy thinking.

How many other people grew up where Gates grew up? How many grew up a bit closer, a bit farther?

How many of them created the company that essentially drives world culture?

They should do what they want with what is rightfully theirs. To say otherwise, is to contend that it is NOT their money. . .and then you find yourself in a self-defeating circular argument.

Imagine you and your sister do chores. You do really hard ones and she does easy ones. She gets $10 and you get $50.

When you get home, your parents take $30 from you, give $5 to her and keep the difference.

Imagine if you did chores and after all that, you kept $20 and your sister kept $10 with $5 earned chore tax credit.

You want to make your room nicer and have enough room for your friend to sleep over. Your parents charge you $10 to put in a sleeping bag, but your sister protests to the “family board of city supervisors” that you aren’t providing enough affordable sleeping space for her friends. Your parents take your $10 and rule against you, citing fairness in sleeping space. You then offer to provide a sleeping bag to your sister free of charge if you can just have one; your parents still say no.

You’ve got a point.

Far left a generation ago: the rich are evil because they’re oppressing the working man!

Far left today: the white rich are evil because they’re perpetuating white privilege!

Far right: ALL the rich are evil because they’re subverting our culture, heritage, and hate whites!

Ah, so theft is good as long as you approve.

Just out of curiosity, what rate do you get taxed at and what rate do you think you should get taxed at?

For the record, I make good money and I feel that I should pay a higher rate than people who make $50k a year because I already have everything I want and need. And trust me, people making $10 million a year don't care about the money. It's just the measuring stick for success. Money for the ultra rich is about ego, not about what it can buy.

As someone with a tax practice that caters to the super rich, you are very very wrong. I have many clients in the top tenth of a percent of wage earners, and they care very much about what they pay in taxes, and seek overly legal tax avoidance measure possible.

Some also champion for higher taxes while to try to avoiding paying them themselves.
