I thought the Easter Bunny and the egg thing was the way they commercialized another religious holiday and made it secular

But interesting that this happened not in some liberal outpost, but in suburban Huntsville, Alabama.

Suburban Huntsville and suburban Birmingham are two areas of Alabama that actually have quite a prominent left-leaning element. The Huntsville/Madison area is pretty heterogeneous and eclectic because of the Redstone Arsenal, NASA, Cummings Research Park, and other pockets of defense contractors.

...So while I am not surprised that this decision was made, I would be surprised if it were supported by the community at large.

Honestly no. Not even close I admit. Bisquick casserole with Zucchini for supper with chicken I think. Italian hero for lunch.

I forget, is jebus the one that brings the eggs and the rabbit gets resurrected? or the other way around?

From Jim Gaffigan:

quote:

Easter, that's a weird tradition.

Female voice: Easter, the day Jesus rose from the dead. What should we do?

Male voice: How 'bout eggs?!

Female voice: Well, w-what does that have to do with Jesus?

Male voice: Alright, we'll hide 'em.

Female voice: I don't...I don't follow your logic.

Male voice: Don't worry, there's a bunny.''
