How is this even possible?

The United Nations is coming under fire for handing Saudi Arabia a key human rights role even though the Kingdom has “arguably the worst record in the world” on freedoms for women, minorities and dissidents.

I literally can't even right now.

frick the UN, Trump should go after them hard for this. Women can't even drive cars or be seen without a man there. You want to talk about oppression and misogyny Saudi Arabia is the king of it

It's time to find another path to the goals originally set for the UN.

SA is not so bad. They don't let women vote. We could learn a lot from them.

The U.N. has turned into the SGA of a liberal arts college.

Trump needs to make it clear that we won't be funding nonsense and use this as his example.

Yet another indicator the UN is now 100% obsolete and out of touch with reality.

There is a new documentary on Netflix called "Saudi Arabia Uncovered" which runs about 50 minutes and contain a lot of undercover video of beheading, beatings, crucifixtions, etc. There are a lot of brave people who at great risk are resisting. Many are women. The essential theme is that Whabbism protects royal family and the Saudi Govt knows how to play both sides of the game with the West. They are literally the greatest exporter of terrorism on Earth and our politicians and military industrial are complicit in regards to the crimes of the Goddamn country.

Oh and I found this surprising - about 30% of the population lives below the poverty line and many are on the streets begging.
