You need a more across the board policy.
Oh I agree whole-heartedly. Trump is obviously in no position to do that until he takes office.

The juxtaposition is with Obama's haplessness
quote:

ERIC COTTONHAM (Carrier Employee): My name is Eric Cottonham and I’m representing the Steelworkers Union, Local 1999. And I’m trying to find out, what do we have left far us — all of our jobs are leaving Indianapolis. I see here you’re doing a lot of things, but in Indianapolis, there’s nothing there for us. I mean, what’s next? I mean, what can we look forward to in the future as far as jobs, employment, whatever? Because all of our jobs has left or in the process of leaving, sir.

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: Well, in fact, we’ve seen more manufacturing jobs created since I’ve been president than anytime since the 1990s. That’s a fact. And you know, if you look at just the auto industry as an example, they’ve had record sales and they’ve hired back more people over the last five years than they have for a very long, long time.

But for those folks who have lost their job right now because a plant went down the Mexico, that isn’t going to make you feel better. And so what we have to do is to make sure that folks are trained for the jobs that are coming in now because some of those jobs of the past are just not going to come back, and when somebody says, like the person you just mentioned who I’m not going to advertise for, that he’s going to bring all these jobs back, well how exactly are you going to do that? What are you going to do?

There’s — there’s no answer to it. He just says, “Well, I’m going to negotiate a better deal.”
Well, how — what — how exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually, the answer is he doesn’t have an answer.

Yeah. Politically, this was a straight punch to Obama's face.

Hell. Even if you believed it an awful deal, it's a total rolling of Obama.

And make no mistake. I think that's part of what motivated Trump to do it.

People need to understand that a lot of the policy that SHOULD be passed will demogogued as always.

Sometimes, you have to build a little political insulation first

Let's not toss around the words "intellectual" and "Palin" too closely together.

To be fair, this is the most intellectual statement I've ever heard from her.

"I can see Russia from my house" would be more "intellectual" than referring to Carrier as "crony capitalism".

Technically, she's right. But making a public statement when Trump is trying to gain momentum is idiotic and short sighted. Obviously This can't be done repeatedly, but it was a brilliant start politically to show he's for the working man.

Agree with this but I have no problem with Palin pushing back. Trump was heavily criticized by members of his own party throughout the election so her comments are entirely consistent with what we saw on the campaign trail.

Crony capitalism is the way of the world. If Trump is practicing it to benefit American workers, that's a big step up from doing it to benefit international bankers.
"Conservatives" like Sarah Palin are professional foot shooters. Can't win anything for us, can't fight progressivism. Can't save western civilization.

This nation will once again be the greatest on earth....it won't be without some serious threats because teenagers always throw a fit when mommy runs out the tough love but in the end they are better for it and the world will be better for it.

One problem with this is, even if it did work for us and the U.S. prospered because of his moves, the next person who is elected to take his place will go right back to the way it was before.

They will only do so at their own risk. The working people of this country have finally had enough and have spoken...any politician on either side of the aisle who refuses to listen to those voices from here until such time as those voices become so comfortable that they no longer speak loud enough to be heard will run the risk of those voices turning against them. And the reason is there will always be someone willing to pander to those voices....

I don't think many of us realize what has really happened in the United States....we have seen a revolt on the part of working people...We have had enough and we are no longer going to stand for being told we have a voice and then seeing that voice forget us as soon as the election is over. This is America's Bolshevik Revolution and it will be many years before working people are silent while their futures are destroyed. The difference is that it isn't a communist revolution...capitalists that want to join the ride will be welcome...and they are going to line up around the corner to do so because where else are they going to go? Asia? Europe? They have bluffed their last time....they may try to for a while BUT if we stay the course, put tarifs in place and refuse to honor our debts AS well as refuse to provide capital safe havens in third world shite holes by footing the bill for security those bluffs are going to no sustance...

I have no problem with tax breaks, but it does have to be an even playing field.

I can't believe Palin is c/o tax breaks. Trump is doing this overall with his tax plan. So her statement is ignorant and stupid-if she wants a cabinet position.
