I have no clue who Sam Harris is nor do I care. Yet threads such as this serve a very useful purpose as they attract neocons like flies to a turd.
Without even reading through all 4+ pages of this thread, I guaran-damn-tee you that the Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld jock-sniffers will be out in full force in this thread. These types of “conservatives” aren’t opposed in theory to the Deep State, they simply want their side in control.

What he basically says is it would be bad if the government rigs an election, but it’s perfectly acceptable for the media to do it. He does not come across well in that.

To be slightly fair, I think he knows if Trump takes back power and the government can be righteous to take down an opponent, he clearly sees where that could lead. I think he’s bargaining with himself convincing himself he wouldn’t have a major problem if say Fox News buried a true story like Big Tech did Hunter Biden so long as someone was reporting on it.

Its akin to a doctor telling a patient all the symptoms a particular medicine might cure while actively hiding the potential side effects.
It's not the doctor's place to decide what's best for the patient. He's suppose to lay all the information out in front of the patient and let them decide.
Likewise, it's not your job to decide what the voters should consider before voting.
This is literally ethics 101...

The fact is Sam is very much hyper aware if that story got the attention it deserved that Trump would still be President. He knows this and is bargaining with himself. He not one of those idiots who says things accidentally. Everything Sam Harris says has purpose in it. He’s not some rambling idiot who will often use hyperbole to make his point.

I know. That's why I compared him to a dishonest doctor hiding information about a certain medication from a patient because the doctor has decided he knows what's best for his patient and doesn't trust them to make the right decision.
It's very unethical.
