This is a very important point: You can't be a good Democrat supporter if you go around falling in love with every proven fact that comes around the corner.

Precisely. HRC interfered with Putin's election so it was payback. Plain and simple.

No. I just wrote that I don't have time. Go to Conservative Treehose and post yours so I can sharpshoot them for kicks later. That's less time consuming.

I have some stuff to take care of, so you guys can pretend as though you understand anything whatsoever for the next few hours.

I'll be back. Just like Mueller. :rimshot:

I get what you are trying to say, but this doesn't mean its impossible there was communication ahead of Trump's official announcement.

Seriously?

Trump wasnt even on the radar in July 2015
Everyone thought he was joking
And anyone who took him seriously thought it was a one in a million chance he got elected. You are looking at it in hindsight knowing that it is now possible for a reality TV star with no political background to be elected president

So what's more likely

A) Russia was paying back Hillary

B) Russia was told before the American public that Trump would be seriously running for president, knowing that he would run republican, and then betting on a reality TV star to win the presidency?

That's some serious 4D underwater chess by Putin

Who changed the subject? We're talking about external actors and their motivations--not poor cybersecurity. And the investigation didn't start over accusations of collusion between Trump's people and the Russians and it didn't start in the media. Quite the opposite on both accounts. I don't have the time to can't catch every new idiot on this site up on the basics of the case just to be able to have a square conversation.

As plainly as I can state it, the narrative is, Russia hacked the DNC because they like Trump. I'm talking about in the mainstream media, not whatever our government is investigating.

True or false?

Yep, a Democrat is the union's best friend.

Why are they so stupid to believe this?

Not asking for a treatise or data dumps.

Just a simple question about your opinion, and a related hypothesis/question.

Yes or no answers to either are acceptable to me but I would love to have your elaborate to whatever constraints your time or interest may allow.

Question - Do you think Trump actively colluded with the Russkies during the campaign? And to clarify, using information dumped in your lap to discredit your opponent does not amount to 'collusion' - at least in my mind.

hypothetical - Do you think HRC would have used information damaging to Trump had its origins been traceable back to Russia, Norks, or even ISIS??

related question - do you think HRC would have cared if it was true - suppose she knew it was false but it was 'out there' - so would she have allowed it to be used?

tia - and don't work so hard.

That article is spot on. The place is depressing but they don't know it they have been in it so long. I heard stories of the sulpher burning from the smoke stack kaisers causing anyone from ever having a sinus infection. All of the sinus allergy sufferers currently; swear it never happened when the mills were up and running. The bars had underground tunnels for liquid lunches from the mill. It sounds like the good ole days.

More truth I have seen in a long time. The only thing I could never figure out there was the diehard democrats and the unions. They finally were freed like slaves from that trap.

to protect a bunch of unclassified campaign-related communications.
Three observations:
(a) SAP material on Clinton's Private Server was not unclassified.
(b) Material on the DNC Server was deemed valuable enough to allow Russians to """hack""" our election.
(c) Individuals responsible for a and b are, or would be, responsible for maintenance of security throughout government.

Odd language coming from you.

Does one EVER ""excuse"" espionage?
In fact do those of you in the field EVER assume espionage will NOT be attempted?

Of course not!

We can slap the hand of those countries who attempt it. But our major impact is through anticipation, interdiction, and other prevention of effective espionage.

Yet you "don't give a wooden nickel about" it. I'll bet you do. If not, you should.

So Russia didn't do this because they are colluding with Trump. They would have planned this well before anyone really believed Trump would be the candidate. Russia did this because like everyone else they hate that bitch Hillary

That's if you believe the Russian narrative. I don't. I still think it was an insider that was (at least secretly) a Bernie idealist who saw how he was being railroaded by the DNC leadership and decided to do something about it.

For me it's a bit of Occam's Razor and this is the simpler explanation when you consider the DNC's resistance to allowing the Feds access to their servers to prove hacking.

I'm not saying the Russians did or didn't hack the election, that's why I put it in quotes

Regardless, whoever hacked the DNC did so in July 2015. Atleast that's what our government is saying.

This was before Trump even announced he would run for president. The point is that whoever did this did not have Trump in mind when they did it.
