Well, we already know the rooms are free. Have you forget the hissy fit you guys had about Trump, the hotel guy, making money on renting rooms to foreign dignitaries and such and thought it to be a conflict of interest? I have no problem with the trips and I have no problem with the federal government footing the bill, but local and state governments and private businesses should not be taking a hit or being penalized.
This is true for all presidents. There were plenty of stories of local business losing money when Obama was in town because they were basically shut down for hours or days.
If I own a charter plane service and I cannot operate while the president is there, that's BS.

I just think it's hysterical that you think a business charging for a hotel room is some kind of underhanded doings in order to curry favors. Now if the business is charging more for the rooms as opposed to what you or I would have to pay for said room, then you'd have a point. However, we don't know that.
