Florida's Palm Beach County is paying a price for President Trump's frequent visits to his Mar-a-Lago resort, and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R) isn't happy about it.

Trump's trip last weekend to his Palm Beach resort cost airports in the county nearly $250,000, including "$217,000 in lost revenue for one fixed base operator at Palm Beach International Airport and $30,000 in lost business at the nearby Lantana airport," Palm Beach Post reported Thursday. Security costs for Trump's most recent stint at Mar-a-Lago have yet to be totaled, but Palm Beach Post reported that when Trump — then president-elect — visited on Thanksgiving, overtime costs for sheriff's deputies totaled $248,000.

And Trump is heading back to Palm Beach again this week. The president is scheduled to fly back Friday for a weekend round of golf with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Rubio tweeted Thursday that while he's happy Trump has dubbed the Sunshine State home of the "Winter White House," the local government shouldn't be the one footing the bill.

Didn't agree with Barry's trips and don't agree with Trump's either. It's becoming excessive. Unless it's an official state event the President should be restricted to a maximum of two vacations yearly. Marco hit the nail on the head.

By every appearance, Trump does work while he is there (and certainly will be this weekend).

Plus, unlike Barry, there are no costs involved in the location itself (Trump owns the place).

So you will be outraged when Trump flies down to Fla. to campaign for Rubio in five years seeing as to how it's an inconvenience for Fla.?

Hope Trump remembers this little pouty moment by Rubio.

You really need a filter on that Rubio propaganda. It is not having the effect you believe it has...

Seriously? Do you think Air Force One operates without cost?

I'm sure someone somewhere will file a FOIA to see just how much the trips are costing taxpayers.

You know there's a republican in the White House when all of a sudden there's a price tag on everything the president does.

All I got to say, Florida is a helluva lot closer to DC than Hawaii if we're concerned about expenses here.

It all needs to end. Government travel needs to be run like a business, not what we're doing now which is basically spend as much as possible when you travel.

You think that he's letting security and all stay there for free?
