Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore pulled out a handgun during a campaign rally Monday night.

During the rally — which came just hours ahead of the Republican runoff Tuesday — Moore said he dealt with nearly three months of negative ads, ABC News reported.

"Ads that were completely false. That I don't believe in the Second Amendment," Moore, a former state Supreme Court judge said.

He then turned and pulled out a handgun, while saying: "I believe in the Second Amendment."

And with that, he gained 5 points in polls.....even though the gun looks like something an Old West Prosititute would keep tucked in her garter.

Our politicians are garbage, for the most part, but there are a lot of redeeming qualities. I just hope most Yankees share your sentiment and would never consider moving here - I like the undervalued property prices.

I'd take a sincere lunatic like Moore over some power-hungry, Yankee Republican like Chris Christie.

pulled out a handgun,

hmmm - what is the law on 'concealed weapon" in Alabama?

Is it an open carry state?

and if so can you carry concealed?

doesn't sound like a wise gesture to me.

Eh... The great American Rick Perry used to bulls-eye coyotes with his 6-shooter.

While jogging.
