The guy you hate, Donald Trump, got you that. Without Trump’s election that court is leftist majority now.

Trump was a rubber stamp.

Mitch had that plan in motion before Trump even announced a Presidential run. Trump picked the people he was told to pick and Mitch violated Senate norms like a gangster to not only prevent Garland's nomination, but to push through ACB.

Trump did what he was told to do.

However, you miss the actual point being replied to. How is that behavior by Mitch "indistinguishable" from DEMs?

So, to extend the argument actually being discussed, Trump is also "indistinguishable" from DEMs?

But you can continue to affect change in the Republican Party by continuing to purge the GOPe and neocons.

how can you possibly believe that?

i once thought that to be true. after GHW Bush took the oath as President and proclaimed a new world order everything was made clear.

Bush was an idiot and the GOP has been weak ever since.

Lie to yourself all you want. Without Trump McConnell isn’t changing Jack shite on the Supreme Court. Hillary would have been president and you’d have a leftist court now. You know this, you’re just a RINO contrarian who hates Trump.

OK cool. So, to get this back on track, Trump is now "indistinguishable" from DEMs. Got it.

That’s just one of your dumbass talking points because you can’t actually refute the fact that without Trump getting elected the court doesn’t shift.

Maybe if you throw in one of your “you’re virtue signaling and being emotional” ramblings no one will recognize you’re a moron.

The distinction is irrelevant for this discussion.

You're just lumping Trump in with McConnell, who is "indistinguishable" from DEMs.

I’m going to be a three time Trump voter in November, and I’ve never voted for a Democrat for statewide or national office. That good enough?

I want Republicans to win winnable elections and stop throwing away winnable seats by insisting on nominating firebrand MAGA purists in purple suburban districts/states.

When Republicans slide further into irrelevance because of all the MAGA idiots hitting up Republicans in purple districts on a primary challenge. Then the MAGAs will be a permanent grievance constituency and the Republicans can go back to being a debating society acting as tax collectors for the welfare state.

Trump, apparently.

That plan was "indistinguishable" from Democratic policy, too

Notice how you keep avoiding the actual stuff being discussed? I imagine you're embarrassed. You've been given 3-4 opportunities to respond to the actual discussion.

Not according to your earlier post because you said Mitch had a plan in motion before Trump even announced his run. Who was the GOP president Mitch had that plan for?

That's true.

Trump did what he was told, though, so you can get the Trump credit that you so desperately want, even though it has literally no relevance to this discussion.

There is nothing wrong with moderate Republicans in purple districts/states and MAGA challenges there are stupid.

It’s all of the ones in very red states that are the problem. Texas, Utah, Louisiana and the list goes on. The democrats do not have this issue at all. Even ones like Tester and Brown always fall in line.

Also does everything have to be binary between MAGA and GOPe these days?

No, but the purity test is demanded by MAGA, so they're creating this division.

Just look at this thread

So Mitch had this super duper secret plan to flip the court even before he knew Trump was running but you can’t tell us who the Republican president was supposed to be that Mitch was going to execute his super secret plan with?

Right. I don’t understand the virtue in banging our head against the wall and lamenting this dynamic though. It’s been the case forever. The GOP is not a lockstep party.

Expecting it to magically become one is just begging for constant frustration.

We need to deal in reality, not “well the Democrats do X”
