They're going to argue semantics with you.

This isn't voter fraud, since no votes were cast.

All voter fraud, and illegal vote suppression, is wrong no matter who is doing it.

With that said, fewer people do need to vote.

There's no doubt that a website called "ThinkProgress" would be very thorough investigating and reporting all facts accurately.
And the other sources? AJC, wapo, New York mag, Al J, etc.

They are all easily dismissed.
Actually they are. From what I skimmed, they are all same-sourced as the ThinkProgress "article". More likely they were written directly from it. That's exactly why ThinkProgress exists, btw. Reinforce the meme. "Repeat it enough and it becomes the truth" Good grief.

So making it more difficult

More difficult than what? Nothing being asked of these suddenly voting-starved citizens is any more difficult than the steps required of those who registered on their own.

What you really mean, and what you don't want to say, is you are mad because it is not being made EASIER, to the point of effortless, for these large registration drive groups.

So making it more difficult and making people return more than once to do the same thing within three 3 days with additional information, information they already provided once or some other kind of information will not discourage people.
I'm sure you are familiar with the concept of a complete and accurate tax return. Well the same concept applies to other filings with the government. If you do not provide complete and accurate information when registering to vote, then you shouldn't expect to be allowed to vote until you provide complete and accurate information. It is the applicant's responsibility to provide complete and accurate information, not the government's responsibility to gather said information.

Where in the article did it say the "lost" applications were incomplete or inaccurate? That seems like your assumption, which I guess is fine since the State has refused to comment on it.

Applications get lost. Things happen, but 40,000-50,000, and all from a particular registration drive? That's fishy.

I was not addressing the claims of 40,000 - 50,000 lost applications. I was addressing the claims of the NAACP that applications were being rejected due to incomplete, or inaccurate, information.

Yes, claims of lost applications should be investigated. Any malfeasance should be punished, whether it involves registration, actual voting, custodianship of cast ballots, or counting of votes.
