We tried it from 2009-2016. It failed miserably.

Good link, thanks! The point of the OP wasn't to prove Christian/religious persecution in the USA. It is clear that direct persecution is not happening in the USA-- as far as beheading and attacks of literal Churches and relics destroyed; as what is happening overseas.

It seems the theme of this thread has turned into highlighting this, somehow negating hostility toward Christianity in America.

“Undeniable: The Survey of Hostility to Religion in America,”

Politically, with the progressive left in power (and this power continuing with the media) SJW causes, BLM, LGBTQRSTUV, and islamic faith, are seemingly protected and revered.

Evidence of this is the OSU terrorist attack and Obama's AG made a podium speech about how the 'hate crime' laws are going to protect muslims and the islamic faith. IOW's AG Lynch justified the media reports that the terrorist plowed people over with a vehicle and machete'; because he was oppressed and needed a Prayer rug and room.

Christianity is only revered when it is politically expedient for the democrats. i e....the SC nutcase shooting a black Church. Obama suddenly respects Christianity (of the black theologian nature.) and black Churches-- by singing Amazing Grace in the Church (like he gives a rats arse about anything but identity politics and cultural and racial divide.)

Unless Christians are being murdered left and right in the US I'm not aware of?
EVERY black male killed by Law Enforcement were Devout Christians, according to the media and the T-shirts, murals and memes made in their honor.

But when Christians claim persecution because gay people now have the same legal protections that Christians have always enjoyed, you lose credibility.

So gay is a religion now?

I wonder why people aren't clamoring to bring in Christian refugees like they are Muslim?

Exactly and hostility can quickly turn into persecution. i e...the islamic extremist terrorist in OKC; that beheaded a woman because she did not bow to his radical religion. Anyone have the stats on "hate crimes" in the USA under Obama? They only seem to protect his ideologies.

however, its intellectually dishonest to deny Christianity hasn't been under assault

The main assault on Christianity in the US is internal.

but same dishonesty to suggest it wasn't a hell of a fantastic perk to the assholes who crafted the legislation.

how many non-Christians are in Congress? like 1-2?

the architect is Nancy Pelosi who is an open, practicing Catholic

well if you're getting that individual about it, you'll have to go through the backgrounds of all the professed christians in OP to make sure they weren't nominal christians who shouldn't count towards the stats
