Repeal of ACA too fast?

Wondering. The Senate passed a repeal bill last night. The House is poised to do much the same. If the two bills pass concurrently before 1/20 and are essentially the same, would they be obligated to send this to BHO before he leaves office for his signature or his Veto? Because we all know he would veto.
Anybody know?

Even if he did they could simply resend the bill

Resend isn't guaranteed. Not even sure that is possible.
Other ideas out there?

Can't happen quick enough. I don't wanna pay this stupid arse penalty

What I'd like to know is what is the effective date of the repeal?
Is it effective the day the President signs it or is it like congress frequently does with tax bills and assigns a future date for the repeal to go into effect, for example, January 1, 2018?

This may be one last big LOL at barry afore the little community organizer leaves office.

Most big legislation is a multi-staged process. Preliminary legislation has to be drafted in order to attach something to a budget resolution later on. I suspect that's what the vote was about.

Are you sure? I thought if they failed to override it was dead for the current Congress. They'd have to pass a different bill.

thats odd, why havent republicans been working on either tweaking it or some form of replacement in those 6 years. I mean they had to try and repeal and fight it over 150 times in those 6 years but never made even a suggestion as to making it better.
are they not smart enough to come up with something. Because now that thye can repeal, they still dont have a plan to replace it....
all we get to hear is 'it will be beautiful, wonderful'

Why should they? Repeal doesn't require either.

They don't need one.

Completely false. Price introduced a comprehensive bill in 2015. The House passed the Keep Your Health Plan Act in 2013 only to have it die in Harry Reid's desk drawer. The Republican Study Committee proposed massive tax deductions for individual plans, offset by ending that write off for employers.

They aren't repealing Obamacare.
They are failing to fund it.
So all the laws about pre-existing conditions and level of care are still law.
Will be great to see them explain that one.

Am I going to have to pay the penalty on my taxes this year?
Who is going to enforce that fine once Obamacare is gone

Like I said, you're going to be very disappointed.

Yeah, us young and healthy who are being penalized and forced to subsidize the old, infirm, and unhealthy, are refusing to fund it. Whether or not the govt passes or repeals anything, Obamacare will fail.
More and more people like me are saying frick this shite and choosing the penalty over the ridiculous prices we are forced to pay.
