A lot of what's going on with the present influx of children and thugs is being orchestrated by countries like Mexico and various cartels who hate us and don't care anything about these children. They are using them as political pawns for their own agenda and it needs to stop.
I care about children but I'm not going to buy into the guilt trip. Many Americans are getting fed up with other countries and their political elite trying to destroy us by attempting to play our kindness and generosity as a weakness.

I thought it was Cuba that refused them, and that the captain ran the ship aground off the coast of England to save them.

There are hundreds of millions of children on this planet who are in similar situations. We simply cannot absorb the world's poorest quintile.

These "kids" didn't get here by themselves. They had help. Why can't you idiots see this is part of a bigger plan to destroy the USA? I say we air drop them into Mexico and tell the mexican government to deal with their problem. Mexico has essentially committed an act of war and should be dealt with accordingly. All legal immigrants of hispanic descent should be up in arms, but we have turned into pussies in this country.

Haven't the responses, but there isn't that much similarity between the two situations. In this current situation, there's a lot of greed, corruption, and dirty politics involved.
I feel for the kids, but America simply can't take in everybody who would like to come here. We are a sovereign nation, and we have a duty to our citizens to enforce reasonable laws regarding our immigration policy.
PS - Hey Toddy, why don't you get married and adopt a couple of these children? Stop whining and actually be part of the solution for once.
