It's no wonder all the libtards believed the fake Trump molester accusations!

Apparently every liberal woman has been sexually accosted, and every liberal man is guilty of sexual assault!

Why wouldn't you? Why would anyone want to jump on that bandwagon? It's not exactly like Reese Witherspoon needs a career boost or anything.

This is what they refer to when you hear "rape culture". They either asked for it or they're full of shite.

By not naming names she's part of the concealment. Congrats on your easy sympathy points though, Reese

This is a perfect opportunity to throw SJW tactics back at them.

Not necessarily. The perp may have been the director of a film she auditioned for but didn't get.

Not really. When she says "director", she could easily be referring to a DP or a second unit director or casting director. That widens the scope quite a bit.

Said this in another thread, if you're in a culture where it's so rampant, and especially if you're not an established actor/actress, who do you go to? Who's going to believe you? And will I ever work again.

Again, I'd love for them to come forward with names, but I can't pretend to know what that world is like.

Reese Witherspoon isn't a newcomer.

She is an "established actress".

Why won't she name names?

Your premise makes no sense in this situation.

Reese has the name recognition and credibility that the vast majority of people would automatically believe her. I agree with you about the lesser known or aspiring actresses but that's why the Resses and other big names have to step up and tell the truth about how and who hurt them. To give the others a voice. Isn't that what they always claim they're doing anyways?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it wasn't Robert Mulligan (The Man in the Moon).

So, suspects would be:

Andy Tennant (made for TV film - Desperate Choices: To Save My Child) - Tennant is a film and television director, who also acted a bit as a young man

Mikael Saloman (A Far Off Place) - a Danish cinematographer who has directed and shot Hollywood films as well. Well regarded enough to direct 2 of the 10 Episodes of Band of Brothers. Also shot films for Tier 1+ directors (The Abyss for Cameron, Always for Spielberg, Backdraft and Far and Away for Little Ronnie Howard).

Marshall Herskovitz (Jack the Bear). Herskovitz is more known as a producer than director (currently President emeritus of the Producers' Guild) and is a top tier producer.

If she's telling the truth, it almost can't be anyone other than one of these three.

I can imagine that regardless of how big Reese is, the high rollers in Hollywood are bigger and can probably do a lot of damage to careers, even lives.

Big names are at least saying something. Let's hope it goes even further.

They should definitely name names

Although in this attention-obsessed culture, I hope they think carefully about who deserves to be called out and ensure they aren't looking for "me too" examples a little too hard. A guy who called you honey and patted your leg at 16 isn't really what I'm talking about.

I could see an attractive woman like her being assaulted. I seriously doubt anyone has ever assaulted Lena Dunham.

So many brave complicit women who never came forward until it was the cool thing to do and silently allowed thousands more teens to be raped without so much as a word.

Because some folks don’t want to get hit with the inevitable defamation lawsuit and have to go through the discovery process.

She, personally, has nothing to gain from naming names and only an annoyance and rehashing of it all to “gain”. She doesn’t owe it to anyone to name names if she doesn’t want to.

I agree and that's another problem. It's absurd to put cat calls in the same category as sexual assault (just an example)

1. No one should ever be off the hook for exploiting, touching, or manipulating teenagers. Throw the book at those people.

2. No one should be prosecuted for engaging in consensual sex as an adult.

She worked with Tennant again on Sweet Home Alabama so it is unlikely to be him.

Saloman strikes me as a guy protected up the wazoo should he have done it, as the page on that film says he got the job due to Stephen Spielberg’s recommendation. If he assaulted a lead on that film, Spielberg would have reason to cover for him.
