business dealing that was perfectly legal in 2008 (it's still legal to sell and own property in this country, right?).

This is tinfoil level shite.

The property was listed for sale by Trump at $125M and sold for $95M in 2008. The lot has been subsequently divided into three and one of the lots sold for $48M (if I remember correctly).

So the invitation wasn't so much an invitation as an order.

The solution then is simple. Fire Rosenstein and then direct the Acting Deputy Attorney General to fire Mueller. That would be either the Associate Attorney General or the Solicitor General.

I agree. Why not? Mueller is not in the Federal Civil Service, he's effectively a political appointee. He can then go back to wherever home is and fish for real.

The Democrats can cry foul and bitch all they want.....they can call for impeachment....although I think doing that would cost them seats in 2018 and insure that there is no impeachment or conviction.

I say DO IT!!!!!!!! The Office of Independent Counsel is Extra-Constitutional anyway. It's nothing more than a political investigatory position. Mueller making bank on all of this.

What's interesting to me about this is that Trump used to use a guy named Felix Sater with the Bayrock group to try to wrangle real estate deals. Andrew Weissman, who Mueller hired away from Preet Bharara's U.S. Attorney's office has a long relationship with Sater, having flipped him to testify against his co-conspirators in a Russian/Italian mob "pump-and-dump" stock swindle back in the 90's (the New York papers called it "Borscht boys and Goodfellas"). Although Sater was convicted, The Feds never sent him to jail, presumably to keep informing on organized crime. Weissman was apparently on this beat with Bharara and presumably is still on it, now with regard to Sater/Trump.

I have it on good authority that Trump would have been investigated for his consumption of Russian vodka too until Mueller found out he doesn't drink alcohol.

Ivanka and Don Jr. will have to turn over all reciepts showing if they drank Russian vodka or not over the last 15 years.

The ship is sinking fast with the Vodka portion of the investigation taking off according to CNN.

So long as the real estate deals were arms length and not rearranging eggs in the carton, Trump is in the clear. Additionally, so long as the sale was within reasonable market valuation levels, it's no big deal. So long as the Russian does not pay 250 million for a property listed at 125 million it's all pretty good. The Russian paid 95 million...good deal.

If there were some shenanigans at play it's more on the issuing bank and the Treasury Department at the time than on Trump and any of his business entities.

I have a property that I want to sell for 100.00. The buyer says I will pay you 90.00 for it cash. Buyer says sure. Buyer writes a check for 90.00. The check clears, no big deal. As the seller it is not my responsibility on a cash deal to examine the means by which a buyer obtained the funds.

If the issuing bank (Russian) later gets in trouble for money laundering, it's not the sellers problem .

They'd probably investigate whether or not Trump REALLY drinks alcohol or not. He says he doesn't, but can we REALLY trust him? And they'll just give that claim 4 or 5 Pinocchio or whatever because well, he went to a party one time where alcohol was served.
