But if fascists are to lose their free speech rights, someone must take them. And if you believe, as many of the counter-protesters do, that the white nationalists and their brethren were emboldened by the presence of a man in the White House who sees them as part of his coalition, then why on God's good green earth would you want to turn around and hand that very man the right to censor anyone whom he labels fascists? Because I can tell you right now, the list of folks that Trump and the restive-but-still-Republican Congress would like to silence sure won't look like the list those sign-wavers have in mind.

OK who is going to defend the right for leftist fascists to speak on college campuses?

Step one. Educate libs what fascism actually is.

Hint: it's not your garden variety white conservative

This phrase is ironic in its own right. People who shout it are too dumb to see it though.

The people wielding "No Free Speech for Fascists" placards might as well be holding up signs saying "No Free Speech for Muslims."

Well heck, if you are going to deal with 'supremacists' how can you not include the Islamic supremacists?

Well of course, considering definitions for terms like "fascist" and "alt-right" are constantly changing and are one step from being applied to people who aren't lock step with Progressive ideology.

They fully understand the irony. It's about power and control. Power and control. Power and control.

When you really think about it, the leftist hate for Trump is really shocking considering he's the most moderate "R" we've had in our lifetimes. What it really tells us is that they will not accept a non-Dem in office, no matter what. Hell, Romney probably had the cleanest record of any recent nominee on either side and they made him into a woman hating evil billionaire by October 2012.

oh yeah

Ben Shapiro talked about that specifically on JRE

the "binders full of women" meme was just retarded and intellectually bankrupt, but it showed their hand for sure

Yeah, somehow a lifelong billionaire Democrat from New York City with a Jewish daughter and son-in-law, and an immigrant wife, is a low key leader of the KKK and Neo-Nazism.

To make it worse, people like Maher get up on their plaforms and "apologize" to Romney and W because they admit they were crying wolf in comparison to Trump. In other words, they are just admitting that's the cyclical playbook for whoever emerges as a R nominee or president.

IMO, one of the biggest reasons Trump won, aside from the economy which was the most important, was because everyone viewed him as flawed from the get go, as human. The mudslinging did not have as much effect as it would have otherwise because people just told themselves "oh, well that's just Trump". Certainly due to his time in the public eye and celebrity status.

Someone like Romney came off as above the fray, so any comment or piece of dirt, no matter how small, was amplified.

I love the way Jordan Peterson puts it. If you're not willing to have a dialog and negotiate, the only two outcomes are tyranny or slavery, and don't count on being the tyrant.
