If you think Bill is typical of the left, you don't know Bill that well. He for years has criticized the left for not being willing to give the opposition an honest platform.

Maher usually has one conservative on the panel. Not tonight. That Friedman dude is melting hard.

I kinda wish Trump would take the shitheel Maher up on his request to be on the show.

I know he would have everything to lose, but I would love to see that motherfricker crushed.

His show is great when he has a balanced panel.

Regarding Trump, seems like he is giving him props and acknowledging how out of touch the Dems were in this election.

While also backhanding and staying as far up in his faux intellectual ivory tower as possible.

It seems that people are melting in this thread and trying to invent a Maher melt.

Both he and Axelrod basically called the protestors idiots, said that Clinton made a huge mistake ignoring the rust belt and Trump spoke to them but said that while they support the presidency they don't necessarily have to support his policies.

Maher even said that the McConnell thing about not supporting Obama in 2008 was blown out of proportion.

He's unique in many ways, but having an opposing view on the show is not one. That is the norm now. He is unique in the sense that he has that opponent on simply to be ridiculed by everyone else on the show. He's the the least "professional" of that format by far.

I think you're desperately clinging to the pre-2012 or so version of Maher. He hasn't been nearly as willing to call out the left or have objective panels since he donated $1million to Obama. He'll take the left to task on Islam every now and then but that's about it. He believes and promotes everything that is wrong with the current Democratic party: identity politics, batshit environmental policies, coastal arrogance, etc.

Yea I know it is, I was just pointing out that while it may seem like he is accepting the fact he is really just being his normal smug self only trying to save a bit of face by semi acknowledging the democrats fault in the situation.

Next to the redneck, he really seems to be the most conservative guy on the panel. He's not calling the Trump supporters retards or anything and calling liberals out on their bullshite.

A liberal "redneck" comedian. Can't recall his name. Never heard of him.
