Test vote? All today is is a vote by the Senate to DISCUSS a potential bill. They aren't voting on a bill.

The Senate bill embodies sound, rational, and responsible Medicaid policy. If enacted, it could be the greatest single entitlement reform in a generation.

Of course he is. His "no" act was a ploy all along. It got him on TV, which is what he wanted.

What are you talking about? He has said that he would vote no on the bill that has been proposed as is. HE never said he would vote no in regards to opening the discussion.

Oh , I bet you thought they were voting on a bill today didn't you.

I saw him on Fox this morning and he was NOT a yes vote. He said that the CBO had not scored His Amendments, and therefore it could not even be considered. BS McConnell/Ryan trying to tamp down the Conservatives.

Of course, there can be many alterations later. It needs to pass regardless the Pork...so that Tax Reform/Infrastructure can move forward.

what will be interesting is if Democrats all vote NO. If they do then they will be seen as not wanting to fix the broken healthcare system. Could be very bad for the Dems

What on earth lead you to believe that? Yes, I know they're only voting on the Motion To Proceed today.

Yes he did.

quote:

Sen. Rand Paul (Kentucky) -- Paul told reporters on 6/26 that he will vote against a motion to proceed to the bill. "They've promised too much. They say they're going to fix health care and premiums are going to down. There's no way the Republican bill brings down premiums. Look, I've been in medicine 20 years. I'm 54 years old. Premiums have never gone down. They're not going to go down after the Republican bill. And it's a false, sort of over-promising to say, oh, yes, insurance premiums are going to go down. But we're keeping 10 of the 12 mandates that caused the prices to go up. It's a foolish notion to promise something you can't provide." (Interview with ABC'S "This week" on 6/25)

What/who are you referring to? Rand Paul publicly stated a couple of weeks ago he was a No vote on the MTP. I said at the time, he's lying and would vote Yes when/if it made it to the floor, and he was a No to get on TV and argue his points. Amazingly, he's now a Yes vote on the MTP.

Gotta vote yes to get it to the floor so EVERYONE can add their pork bellies onto it.

Ya know, roads, and bridges, and airports, and farm subsidies, and pollution, and coal, and all kinds of other BS belong attached to a bill about health insurance.

By the time they're done a "straight" repeal of Obozocare will have $6 trillion in spending on BS across multiple states. Hell, there may even be some new fighter jet or navy ships attached to it.

If you like your Dr., "firing missiles 1 and 2, got bogey's on my 6", you can keep your, "hard to port and increase speed to 12 knots", doctor.

as somebody with great insurance through work, i really hope this bill passes. i know that sounds terrible because the bill will f*ck over millions of Americans, but hey, I'm not one, and if passed, this will bite Trump and Team R in the arse so very hard.

If they can throw a Baton Rouge loop and a widening of I-10 from the bridge to the 10/12 split in there, I'd be on board with single-payer for all I care.
