"Freedom of Speech" is only guaranteed under the Constitution as protection from the govt. It is not a guaranteed right in both the private or public setting. Thus, you can't scream "Fire" in a movie theater, your boss has the right to restrict what you say in regards to the company to a large degree. etc etc.

I don't want the government to shut down the protesters. I just think the basis if the protesters' argument is fabricated and proven false. And, it's embarrassing. And, because of the fabrication, things went way too far and rioting and looting occurred. So, there has been real harm.

What's proven false? More than 50% of the witnesses say he had his hands up at least part of the time.

You're "fabricating" as much as the protestors are. You have an agenda and you're picking and choosing those witness statements which fit what you believe happened. And the rioters and looters are taking advantage of the situation. They don't give a damn about anything.

The prosecutor conducted that grand jury like the DA conducted the grand jury in Jordan Jefferson's case. Neither wanted a true bill.

I can understand why the Ferguson DA didn't want to take this case to trial. Conflicting testimony is no way to find someone guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The more conflict, the better for the defendant. But his half-arse grand jury proceeding only flamed the fire.

As for Wilson, he may not have been guilty of murder or manslaughter but he was guilty of stupidity. LE experts have said he handled the situation wrong from the jump. He shouldn't have been driving through the neighborhood barking orders. He shouldn't have gotten into the initial confrontation. He shouldn't have gone after an unarmed man with his gun ready to fire. He should have had a taser. Or he should have stood back and waited for back up.

But stupidity =/= murder

like the backlash that was predicted here when they drafted michael sam?

Nothing is going to happen. Its not like anyone likes the rams. they are last in attendance for like the last 10 years. They are moving, just where? LA probably.

What are you talking about?

The backlash I'm talking about is exactlly what this post is about. You have the St. Louis Police Officers Association demanding an apology. This is clearly being discussed and is clearly going to have a divided opinion in St. Louis.

I have never indicated that the Rams wouldn't survive this, or that it would harm them irreparably.

Personally, I think publicly the Rams are playing the PC game. Privately, they absolutely don't want these statements made during a Rams event.

i recall that the rams were going to regret drafting michael sam back in april. Massive boycotts. Drop in revenue, etc.

You really think they have much credibility? I don't.

Yes, but its not a backlash.

I am going to bet most people DGAF.

Definitely agree. But you have your players making a harmless gesture in pre-game, you don't do shite over that. Fisher has no desire to lose his players over a fricking gesture.

Mistakes and irregularities would benefit the defendant...not the prosecutor.
In this case they were on the same side.

Who exactly predicted "massive boycotts" and
a "Drop in revenue"?

Please name the network or personality that said anything close?

Or just pulling out of yer arse as usual?

Let me know when this significant "backlash" happens. Something tells me Rams ownership probably doesn't peruse TD PB just fyi.

I can't believe people are making a big deal of that ridiculous shite. It is laughable. I think it's stupid but if that's what they want to do this is supposed to be America

Police should withdraw support of the Rams. No police escorts. No special services. No services at private ventures.

I guess they like fictional stories.

What percentage of people that are so up in arms (pun intended) over this small political act simultaneously believe any and all PREPOSTEROUS "birther" conspiracies about Obama's religion/origins/birth certificate/etc.?

I find it laughable that all of a sudden fiction is deemed relevant in politics.
