Fatness. Don't forget that.

No offense, but having a half black president doesn't prove much.

Very few people vote and of those that do, nearly half voted against him. That leaves a huge majority of Americans that could be racist. He appointed The AG, so that has nothing to do with anything.

This "proving we're not racist" bullshite has got to stop.

Even if everyone was suddenly "color blind" (won't happen), there would be some other reason why people discriminate or treat others differently.

Correct. And that is a good thing not a bad thing. Discrimination is a good thing. When you get married you have discriminated against 1,000s of other people you met and could have married.

I agree and I changed it.

You definitely have to dig here and the common denominator here is European based people. Canada, U.S. New Zeland, Australia are by far away the most accepting people.
So you're just gonna ignore India and count Mexico and Peru as "European based people?"

Oh, I forgot Syngman Rhee. South Korea is only about 30% Christian these days, and that number was much lower in 1948.

Yeah you're right. There's never an exception to every rule.

The man was born in Peru. He is and always has been Peruvian. He holds Japanese citizenship because of his parents.

There has been some birthplace contention but the Japanese say his birth was registered at their consulate in Lima.

Correct. And things are getting worse there with Muslim immigrants.

But the point this student was making is that Germany is just as race obsessed as the U.S. if not more so. We're just not living in other countries where we can see it.

The OP is about race, not religion. When it comes to religious tolerance, the U.S. is one of the world leaders, but there are very few nations that can match America's history for institutionalized, state-sanctioned racism.

Example...in the U.S. it is not allowed to use the 'n' word. All countries have racial slurs for different ethnic groups. The funniest I've heard is White South Africans referring to Black South Africans as 'AFI's. AFI = Antique Farm Implement.

There's no such law banning the use of the word n****r. That's about societal norms, not law.

We are the least racist country in the history of the world, and not a day goes by that this does not piss off the left.

I've named more non-Euro examples ITT than Euro examples. You're seeing what you want to see. Can't imagine why.

I think things are better in the USA than other countries in regards to race and the proof is there as you noted.

But I still think it's fair to say that racism still exists in the USA when you look at the statistics for income, education, and other social and economic variables.

Only a fool would argue that things are not better now than 40 years ago.

You obviously missed the entire point of the OP. Of course he was born in Peru, but that's not the point. I would guess that many if not most countries have laws stating that President/Prime Ministers have to be native born and/or both your parents must be citizens.
