After the behavior of so many GOP candidates and now electors who enjoy proclaiming their faith, I'd like to ask the group if there is a bible verse I don't know about that starts out "blessed are the Oath-Breakers...."

Please advise, thanks.

I assume he's talking about the faithless elector

I'm not sure who this thread is directed to, though

Hard to say. Every day it seems we get to hear about some Evangelical chucklefrick rationalizing to themselves on why they can't follow through with an oath. I wonder what Abraham woulda though about their kvetching with Issac on the altar.

Not really. My bible knowledge kind of stops there.

Also I've had a few and it's hard to remember.

Jewish and Mormon Republicans have worked for the past 19 months to stop Trump. They have failed at every turn and this latest cuck will be no different.

The 2016 GOP primary was one of the most unbelievable times to be a regular poster on this board. Even though I hated Trump at the time, it was fun as shite to live through.

No. It's what separates us from liberals. Liberals think that changing your mind is a core value. Hillary Clinton changed her mind on almost every core issue - from abortion, to gay marriage, to the war in Iraq, to the war on drugs, to a border wall and immigration, etc...

This sums it up:

John Kerry

I'm neither. I don't have any sympathy for the faithless electors. They're there to represent the vote. Not put their own interpretation on. I did my thing (or didn't do it) with regards to the Presidential candidates. The election is over. Now we transition power smoothly. If you're not down with that and you're supposed to be part of the process, get out of the way.

If you do a study on people making oaths in the Bible, it almost always ends poorly. See Jonathan eating honey, Jephthah'a daughter, Peter's denial, etc.
