Which oath: to support the nominee? To support and defend the constitution? To listen to their constituents? Sometimes oaths intertwine. To uphold one oath may require one to violate another. There was a great synopsis of this in a silliloquy by Jamie Lannister in the ASOIAF novels along the lines of: when one swears allegience to the kingsguard, the take an oath to protect the king, to guard the realm, to protect its people, ect. What if the king wants to massacre his own people? Who should he defend? Should he break his oath to the king or to his people?
If you are sworn to protect your church, sworn to protect your king, and sworn to protect your family. Sworn to serve your employer. Your family would be starving and on the verge of homeless for lack of money if not for your job. Your priest, your king, and your employer each command you you to kill the other 2.
"Your king commands you, kill the enemies of your kingdom!" Says the King.
"God commands you to kill these enemies of the faith!" Says the priest.
"I will pay you enough money that your family will never hunger or want for anythig ever again" says your employer.
Who do you kill? Which oath do you break?

Oathbreakers are cursed to undeath, never to rest, never to move on, until their oath is fulfilled.

How did Trump win Utah then?
Also, why do Catholics get a pass. 12-15% of the 25% Catholic voting bloc voted for Hillary.

They aught to tell that SOB he has 3 options: cast his vote for Trump, leave TX, or stay in TX but relocate to Austin.

do you have other examples in mind?
John Kasich comes to mind.
The delegates who begged for attention at the convention come to mind.
The folks at the State Convention in Colorado come to mind.
And now the dipshite "faithless" electors.
All of the above claiming the high road and proclaiming themselves morally superior while breaking their oath/pledge/promise to do so.
