It is ironic isn't it?

Trump and Jeff Beauregard Sessions are the ones to defeat this racist movement? I love it. Wouldn't want anyone else championing this fight!

So as a white college grad who was not eligible for a number of scholarships due to skin color, do I get my reparations?

That's how this works right? I was oppressed so I get free shite if I bitch hard enough?

Of course now he's one of the most influential advisors to the most powerful person on earth, likely in large part because he's married to that person's daughter.
I still want to see Obama's GPA, SAT, transcripts, etc.

I get that this is how it works, but then it kind of seems hypocritical to care about AA then. Either we care about merit or we don't. I prefer to maximize merit.

I'll start by saying that I'd prefer to maximize merit as well. But comparing an unmerited rich kid getting into a private school because of connections to an unmerited poor person getting into a private school because the government forced their hand is complete different. One of the scenarios above is beneficial to the private school while the other is the government forcing the school to admit students based on the color of their skin.

What changes have been made to gay rights?

I have no doubt that people with money can buy their way into private colleges. If Harvard wants to use AA to level the playing field, I have no issue with it. Although, then it would only be wealthy people and minorities who are on a "level playing field" and still leaves out everyone else who can't afford to buy influence through money or skin color.

Then the private colleges (e.g. Harvard) must be off federal funds/Grants like NSF and NIH.
