With the healthcare bill. Now they want more. They simply don't understand how passing legislation works. If Trump gave them everything they wanted in the bill, you'd alienate moderate Republicans and the bill wouldn't even make it to a vote. The simple fact is that the AHCA is the best chance Republicans have to repeal and replace Obamacare, which is what they promised to do for seven years. Rand Paul and House Freedom Caucus members are officially now enablers of Obamacare and they should be primaried for breaking their promise to the people.

If repeal and replace means Obamacare 2, sure this is a chance for repeal and replace.

All of the flaws that have caused the death spiral are still in the AHCA.

Yup. There are a lot of people here that have zero clue what is even in the bill to begin with. Group think at its finest.

Once the bill passes the house, it will be reworked by the Senate. It wont even be the same bill at the end of the day

If you give the Senate a moderate bill, the Senate will send back an even worse bill.

I thought y'all had learned this whole 'art of the deal' thing?

I think you've been watching too much of Rand Paul's political stunt interviews. This bill eliminates the mandates, eliminates the taxes, and increases competition. And they will still have a chance to work on it more before it goes to the senate. But instead they're going to sabotage the President and the party and the people are stuck with Obamacare.

Trump should call their bluff and say he's going to work with Dems to fix Obamacare instead. Mix in the words single payer somewhere and watch them shite their pants.

frick them. POTUS has a job to do. If they dont want to play, find someone who will.

Sounds to me like the moderate Republicans are the enablers of Obamacare and they are the ones that need to be primaried. Rand PAul is not breaking any promises, he is living up to them and staying principled in the face of threats from the President and Speaker.

This isn't a repeal of Obamacare so how are they breaking promises?

It's a shite bill that will hang like an albatross on the GOP's neck.

How? Not saying it doesn't. Serious question.

This is about political posturing. He says he cares about higher premiums, but the bill in 2015 he supported would have increased premiums. He's only looking out for his own political ambitions. I thought he was different, but I was wrong.

I hate Obamacare. I've seen my premium go up because of that shite.

Removing the mandate doesn't fix anything. You either cover pre-existing conditions and have a mandate to offset, or you repeal the pre-existing conditions rule. You can't do both.

I want to see insurance return to being insurance, but the AHCA doesn't do that.

As for increasing competition? Bull fricking shite.

You mean make it more liberal? Also "you have to pas t to see what's in it."
