Politico: Does President Obama have a second-term strategy?

quote:

A year ago President Barack Obama jammed a prediction into his stump speech that evoked his 2008 hope-and-change message — a vow that a victory in 2012 would break the partisan “fever” in Washingto

quote:

But behind closed doors, people close to the president tell POLITICO, Obama never quite bought his own rhetoric and was quietly planning for precisely the opposite scenario, perpetual gridlock, during West Wing strategy sessions in the weeks before and after beating Mitt Romney.

quote:

Those clashing visions of the second term — the president’s public optimism, shadowed by his dour, private realism — have made the opening act of Obama II something of a muddle, with critics and allies alike wondering if the president has a coherent strategy for retaining influence during what promises to be 3½ maddening years of divided, even schizophrenic, government.

Ummmm, did he have a first-term strategy?!?! Aside from trashing America and destroying the fabric of society?!?! Nothing new here, sadly!

Funny they don't even mention him getting bludgeoned from both sides over the Obamacare disasters

Golf, attend fundraisers, campaign for Dems in the mid-terms, give out presidential medals, citations and awards, do photo ops with championship sports teams, whine about the Congress not being willing to do what he wants, babble from time to time about social justice issues, vacation...

You know, all those things that make him a strong, decisive, transformation leader for the United States and the free world.

Forward!

His 2nd term strategy is to complete the term with a level of approval that will cement a positive legacy. Needless to say he is failing in that endeavor.

The man is not a leader. The man is not a unifier.

Rule through oval office decree seems to be his strategy. Allowing department heads to set and enforce burdensome regulations seems to be his strategy.

No...unless you count bouncing from crisis to crisis and playing defense a strategy?

Obama is running the country like someone in a buffet line.

He loads up his place with crab legs, prime rib, ribs, chicken, mashed potatoes, dirty rice, green beans, corn, and everything he sees that the likes to eat.

The guy sits down and starts eating, but since he has so much on his plate he can't finishing much of anything. He eats half of this, some of that, and none of something else.

Obama has too much on his plate, and it's impossible for him to finish anything. He has things so piled up, he does things half arse or not at all.

Look at his "issues"
Jobs
Immigration
healthcare
Gun control
Climate change/environmental control
Middle East
Iran
National security
Gitmo

Obama is going down as the buffet president. Big on ideas, but way short on accomplishments.

In fact he's so bad it's almost as if he does this on purpose.

History will say that President Obama was one of our greatest American leaders and Presidents, for as long as universities and the media have anything to say about History.
