Muh Pizzagate. I forget, what was his political affiliation?

Sounds about right.
He likely won't serve the full sentence, but the sentence is fair.

Right wing wacko deserves more than that. If only he hadn't listened to Alex Jones...

I'm surprised to learn that the penalty for shooting a rifle into a food establishment is only 4 years.

4 years for just firing a gun, not even at somebody? Seems excessive.

I mean, obviously you shouldn't go around firing weapons randomly as that's pretty dangerous, but I get the feeling a huge chunk of his sentence was politically motivated.

Did you read the article? According to the evidence as set forth therein, it seems, he wasn't shooting AT anyone. It's basically an unlawful discharge of a firearm and is a good bit higher than would typically be given in such cases.

That's fine, I suppose, but the fact that people were (are?) trying to compare this nutjob to the guy who actually shot AT and SHOT people with the intent to kill them in that congressional baseball practice shooting is laughable.

I wonder if prison will inspire this actor with ideas for more false flag operations.

He won't serve a day. He was a democrat operative sent in there to muddle the narrative

Total false flag. He's out in under a year, and either gets a check from JA and/or whatever sins he's committed remains under wraps.

Dude, if you had your kids sitting with you in the restaurant when that nut job fired his gun, you'd feel differently.

Yes, I did read about the incident. There were lots of people present who scrambled for safety. As someone else said, I'm not sure you would be so sanguine if you had been present.

Yeah, I didn't see any of that. All I'm saying is that I'm surprised to find out that shooting a rifle into a restaurant where lots of patrons and employees are only gets you 4 years. What if a ricochet had killed a child...should the sentence have been more then? If so, why? Because certainly he had no control over such things.

He definitely committed a crime and created a dangerous situation and should be punished, but 4 years for being reckless just strikes me as excessive.

We really don't even know the circumstances of his shooting. Was the restaurant completely empty or full? Etc.

4 years with parole after 2-3 sounds about right. Dude shot up a restaurant.
