Not really.
No where in the New Testament does it say Christians should kill the gays. Homosexuality is just as much a sin as a straight couple having sex outside of marriage. Both sins can be forgiven if the offending parties are truly repentant.
I have nothing personal against homosexuals. But homosexuals living a homosexual lifestyle are in a state of sin. Just like a straight, unmarried couple, living a married lifestyle are in a state of sin.

Get the government out of the "Marriage" game and let it be a private issue. Make enything recognized by the Govt for contractual/tax purposes a Civil Union and be done with it.

If you are against allowing homosexuals to marriage then are you also for a law outlawing divorce in traditional marriages? Both would seemingly upset the drama queen of a God that you apparently believe in.

I think the so called "support" probably consists of a bunch of people that wouldn't necessarily want to see a bunch of gays get married, they're just so tired of hearing about it they just said frick it. Kinda like your kid crying until you get him that toy whether you really want to or not
