If you had told me this dude would have eventually had legit social commentary five years ago I would have done the biggest eye roll possible.

Now he's basically the Morpheus of Youtube with the redpilling he is dosing out.

If Gen Z somehow takes a steaming dump on my generation (Millennial) in the future, I won't even be mad.

Can you tell me what part of the video I should skip to? Watched the first 5 minutes trying to have an open mind, but this nonsense is a waste of time.

Please let me know which part of the video I should skip to in order to see this guy explain why the gender pay gap is bullshite. I happen to believe that it largely is, but the first third of this video hardly touches the subject.

Yeah, it's hard for me to take this guy seriously when he's ranting like a hyper adhd kid that just drank a gallon of coffee. He's all over the damn place.

I will have to watch the video later.

That said, there is numerous evidence to back his claim. The truth is, roles in which women are paid less fall into very common categories

1) They work less hours (mostly by choice)

2) They have families, which removes them from the work force until they re-enter. This cause a temporary disruption in their work experience.

3)They typically work in less in-demand professions. They also opt out of more dangerous professions which yield higher pay with less education.

Frankly, I encourage it.

Here's Sargon's excerpt from it: LINK

And I don't see why PewDiePie hasn't sued the WSJ/News Corp for libel and defamation yet. He could get a dream team of lawyers and not spend a cent himself because all of YouTube would pay for it. It's estimated that the average YouTuber has lost 60% of their income due to the WSJ piece on PewDiePie, which if PewDiePie won would open the floodgates for the WSJ to be sued into an oblivion by YouTube at large.

How fricking awesome would it be if PewDiePie ended up owning the WSJ and News Corp all over a hit piece?

Yea, I've seen this one before. Prager is great and I loved their coverage of this gap.

But this isn't a thread about Prager. It's a thread about how this PewDiePie guy is voice of rationalization for Gen Z. If that's true, it makes me quite nervous about the whole lot of them.

Guess that officially makes me an old man.

But I am glad Gen Z is listening to people like PewDiePie. He's a man of incredible character and is incredibly genuine. It's sure as shite better than listening to monsters like Onision, who isn't allowed within 50 miles of VidCon due to him being a serial sexual predator and groomer.

That WSJ piece is going to blow up so much in the media's face going forward in the future they have no idea. These 12-18 year olds will remember that.

There are still pay gaps in certain industries that should be addressed IMO.

For other industries, marketing/advertising, professional services, brand and retail management and the like, they're outnumbering males like 2 to 1 and the inverse problem will be true eventually if not already.

He's a bit of a caricature, but I mean think on some of the stupid shite you watched as a teen? PewDiePie is relatively harmless and actually treats his audience with some sort of respect. I'm not a big fan of his content, but I am a fan of him as a person.

I genuinely believe that people who are 40 or older in politics and the media do not understand internet culture.

The WSJ wanted clicks on their site but didn't realize that YouTube commenters are more popular and frankly, more trusted in younger people's minds than the mainstream media.

Or, I'm just going out on a limb here, maybe the sexes are predominantly attracted to certain lines of work and industries. Don't see many women in construction or welding or many male nurses or elementary school teachers.

56 million followers. That's a shockingly massive audience.

That used to not be the case. Why teach children when everyone just assumes you're a sexual predator?

I know there are a few male teachers on TD. My hat is always off for those brave individuals.
