Is this the new new normal?

If you recall the old new normal meant accepting mediocrity.

Just think what he could accomplish if the left would stop with their temper tantrum.

This is the normal when coming out of 8 years of liberal policies.

Do you have a link for that? I'm pretty sure your headline is not accurate. I was listening to Fox Business when the jobs numbers were announced and I didn't hear them say what your headline says.

I do think there is space for Trump to bring back some manufacturing jobs. If he's successfully doing that, he should be praised.

But it's not a long term solution to our labor issues (caveat for tech advancement that could place added value on human manufacturing roles).

But the Democrats told me I was silly to ever think manufacturing would come back to America

Blonde chick...

And no... she is right. 2016 started with 12387... lost to 12343. We are now at 12396.

that'll be true by definition with any m/m growth at all, because it was flat in 2016

For the millionth time, can I get a threshold for "back"? Just want to know where the goalposts are

Back to its peak of a quarter of the labor force, as opposed to mid-high single digits now!!

I would expect something like this to be the answer, but I don't know. The goal seems to be vaguely-defined by its own proponents for some reason, consistently

That's true. I say flat if the difference (loss or gain) is something like or less than a percentage-point, which IIRC it easily was

ETA: not going to answer on what "back" means, though?

So you dont think that these manufacturing jobs will evolve as manufacturing processes evolve?

Then why aren't you and others who have this viewpoint advocating for very strict birth limits?
