BUT THE KIDS!

What don't people understand about this? We have all these programs and "stuff" and we can't afford to pay for them.

I don't agree with the increase in military spending but where did people think these cuts were going to come from?

And there's still quite a long way to go. Haven't even touched the big entitlement reform yet

I can't believe how reliant on government people are. You would think everyone is about to starve to death and die.

Their yearly budget is less than what we are spending so that Melania doesn't have to move to DC. That's the amount of money we are talking about.

The kids are the ones who are truly going to be fricked if we don't curtail spending.

Its ridiculous to increase military spending. We already spend more than the next 26 countries combined.

So what you're saying is that when those 26 get a 27th to join them against us, we're screwed.

Kind of scary when the areas cut might effect 8% of the population.

The majority of people simply don't want cuts, especially if it is anything that could possibly involve them. They would have to see everything blow up first to truly know that it is needed.

For the same reason we didn't stop wasting money on the Obama's, the Bush's and so forth. We pay to protect our leaders, not that hard to comprehend.

And yet, $25B for a long chunk of concrete and heavily increased military spending.

You Trumpkins.

Not campaign fodder type cuts.

Trump said he wouldn't touch entitlements. Then again, he isn't keeping his promises of what he would do so I don't see why we should expect him to keep the promises of what he won't do.

I'm all for some spending cuts, but it's not exactly accurate to say "we don't have it." In addition to being able to print as much as we want (hope it doesn't come to this) we are the most credit-worthy and largest borrower in the history of humanity. Also, nobody ever talks about the asset side of our balance sheet, but wanna guess how much, say, Yellowstone National Park is worth? All I'm really saying is the focus on spending cuts should be about getting rid of destructive spending that is having negative consequences. Ability to pay is way down on the list of concerns.

People need to realize it's costing an extra $181million just to keep the wife and son in Trump tower. Then all the extra for Mar a Lago for the weekend golf outings. Sure Obama went to Hawaii. But Trump's spending i 4 months is equal to one year with obama

Im fine with cuts. But people need to be a little more transparent and look at expenses on all sides.
